Thanks!
This week I've got Twilight Singers & Neko Case. Was supposed to see Josh Ritter tomorrow but the show was cancelled. At any rate, June is being very good to me...

the cover of George Michael's "Faith" ruledBicycles were pretty fun as well, but a bit hit or miss. cute drummer tho
I think they started early the other night or something. Show was supposed to start at 8:30, I got there at 8:45 and only caught the last song and a half of the Bicycles set...

I don't think littlest sister was in Boulder last night...
I was really impressed by them. When they came out all I thought was "what the hell?!?" but they really won the crowd over. The drummer look startled everytime she was on stage, but she played the hell out of those drums...

Krazy Al was the only name that I DID catch. Did Smoosh open when you saw them? I loved their roles in the encore...

Awesome! The show totally blew me away. I don't usually go down to the pit in front of the stage anymore, but for some reason I decided to last night. I'm so glad I did! I wasn't close enough to the stage to get any whipped cream, but I could see the sweat flying from E's forehead.
I have to say Krazy Al is the most talented security guard I've ever seen...

Your mind's a machine
It's deadly and dull
It's never been still and its will
Has never been free
Lightly tapping
A high-pitched drum
As your spine starts to shine
You shiver at your soul
A fist so clear and climbing
Punches a hole
In the sky
So you can see
For yourself
If you don't believe me
There's so much less
To this than you think
It's almost gone
The night is dissolving
In a cup God lifts
To toast the lightning
Lightly tapping
It's high-pitched and it hums
Your spine starts to shine
And you shiver at your soul
A fist so clear and climbing
Punches a hole
In the sky
So you can see
For yourself
If you don't believe me
There's so much less
To this than you think
This song still gives me chills...

Been on the bookshelf for a while, I decided to finally read the thing...

I've been having trouble sending PMs lately... sometimes things are just fine, but every once in a while instead of getting the "your message has been sent" page I am taking to the forum home page after hitting "send". And I'm pretty sure those PMs aren't going through.
Is it just me... ?

I was extremely nervous about my contribution to the first tribute album... to the point of regretting that I'd even sent it to Mart... :
But I got a lot of compliments... I even had a couple of people tell me it was their favorite track on the album!!
I'm sure you both did beautiful work.
Now playing 19th June 2006

Oh, I The Captain. I'm also really loving Manifest Destiny and (despite it's being the first single) One Man Wrecking Machine. Classic guster teen angst...
I haven't seen guster in nearly 2 years... until now, I think the longest I've gone since "discovering" them in '98 was about 9 months... I'm hoping for a CO date on the fall tour.

I pulled it from oink too, but it's gone now. I'm glad I got it when I had the chance... I'm enjoying it a LOT.
