Moose's Tooth Parking Lot
It's like an episode of Northern Exposure.
(I always had a crush on the doctor.)

Oh Dunja, glad to hear the alarming incident at least has a good ending. If Tara is anything like you, she's a fighter though and will be back to her old self. Take care of each other!

I am so smitten by this record.
-
I'm swooning at the very thought. I can't wait to see them again.

I have mixed feelings about this--but who am I kidding?! I'll be there. I'm a sucker for festivals in my backyard.
-
You guys got "Apologies to Insect Life"?! I've been fixated on that song.
-
wow, she really gets around.
She also got a mention in BSP's most recent newsletter:
At SXSX ... BSP also enjoyed performances from Holy Fuck, Basia Bulatand their notoriously amorous former keyboard player Eamon of the Brakes.

This is a total generalization since I've never been to the club you're headed to, but the venues that seem the strictest with their camera policy are the big, showcase spaces. Smaller clubs don't tend to care for the most part and by all indications, neither does British Sea Power.
In addition to the wise tips posted above, here's one more: If you're feeling paranoid, save your shots until the encore or near the end of the show. That way, you'll probably have been able to determine the camera policy just by watching the other concertgoers. Also, you might be less likely to get busted with the concert drawing to a close.

Thanks for the reminder about Kelley Stoltz! That's what I get for missing his Noise Pop show.
And T, you know your girl Basia Bulat is on the BSP record, right? (I mean, not prominently featured or anything, but she's mentioned in the liner notes.)

Dang, I wish the Love Police took care of presale in the States...
No you don't. Trust me on that one.

What's your point?

If your memory stretches back that far, Pearl Jam, on their anti-Ticketmaster tour, played at the Polo Fields, and going back even further, the old WOMAD festival took place there as well. It's a pretty big expanse.

This will be wild. This weekend goes against every grain of my being. I like to have everything planned well in advance to the last detail. This will be good. I need to be out of my element more.
Words to live by.
Now if only a great rate to Pittsburgh would pop up...

Isn't it already one in Canada?!
To the Cinammon Girl who taught us about toques and ookpiks. Help yourself to a slice of Shakey's pizza today!

I commend you on your inspiration and your commitment. Also, I admit that my main concern for the last two weeks has been trying to figure out how many BSP shows I can catch before they leave our shores.
Drive safely and have fun.

They'll be sandwiched in between the Spitzer jokes.

If this is true, the price for the use of our toilet just went up! *
* I don't really believe this, however.

My friend, whom I had dragged to a couple of Wilco shows (actually, one Wilco show and one of Jeff's solo shows), was volunteering at the LA Film Fest, where the film premiered. She called me the next day to tell me that she totally saw me rocking out in the movie.

Well, no bear or Eamon, but plenty of good times were had. Setlist from San Francisco below:

We're charging a million dollars for the use of our bathroom. Cupcakes not included.

If you need ideas for Wednesday, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks are doing a free in-store at Amoeba (I can't believe I can't go!).

Well, I'm more at ease with Uyen being a lady.
Who you calling a lady?!

Nick Lowe was on Jimmy Kimmel Live the other night... Performed I Trained Her To Love Me and PL & U.
Caught the YouTube capture, and I gotta say -- that's a good-looking backing band.

It's bad enough that I can't make these dates, but then I have to discover they're with Robyn Hitchcock.
