the songs are good. nothing i have not heard from wilco before. i don't think they are anything to get too excited about, really.

I received the copy I ordered from SilverDisc in the mail today, but they shipped me the first pressing. Should I just keep this or try and have them exchange it?

I ordered it from silver-disc, through amazon, about two weeks ago. it still has not arrived, but there have been no changes in the order; supposedly it should be here any day. silver-disc does not have it listed as an item anymore, though.

could someone post the email? i am on the list but not in the chicago-area.

A scene in the IATTBYH dvd has Jeff singing lyrics along the lines of "set my sights on one whispery kiss..." It is before one of his solo shows in chapter six, I believe. Does anyone know what song this is?

I was listening to my super duper deluxe edition of Sky Blue Sky today when I noticed at 2 minutes and 23 seconds into You Are My Face the sound of the hi-hat changes dramatically for 5 seconds. Go on... we'll wait... put on your headphones... cue it up to the track and time (start from about 2m:20s for best results).

 

It sounds like, for that time period, the track goes goes "more stereo" (specifically: a sudden boost in the left channel). The change occurs for a single bar in the song only. Is this an omission that went to press? Creative license? Who gives a crap? YES!

 

And, yes, I am a weirdo.

Someone help me out here. I seem to remember the intro to War On War being used for a commercial a few years back. Just the instrumental opening bit. Was that for HP? My memory ain't what it used to be.

I noticed Mikael is playing a Wurlitzer in Shake it Off, according to the liner notes. My question is, how do they get that cool "wah-ish" kind of sound from it? Whatever it is, I love it. Does anyone know what I am hearing?
