The Lakers truly have some kind of luck mojo that I can't explain. They win game 2 because Lee misses an easy lay up (by NBA standards). Orlando gets open looks and can't make any of the shots they made against Cleveland. Unbelievable.

Kobe Bryant might whine about no calls more than any player ever. Every time he makes a terrible decision and gets stuck with the ball and nowhere to go, he whines. I'm a Lakers fan, but it's driving me crazy.

Two things have impressed me in this series: The Nuggets and Trevor Ariza.

This was my guess as well.

Saw this list of all Idol winners/runners-up and their home state on another site. The south has dominated this thing, the people vote in droves. Also, the homecomings of the top 3 are always an indicator. Kris had huge crowds and Adam could barely fill the high school football bleachers.

Fact is the east is weak and they coasted through teams that weren't all that great. IMO the real "finals" are LA and Denver, the team that wins that will stomp the east.

I agree with this, though I'm not sure they'll "stomp" them. Probably 6 games.

I thought the article read as if somebody had read the VC album thread and then compiled the most dominant thoughts. It was venturing into the too positive to be considered balanced, but this board trends that way as well for obvious reasons.

Nah, missed free throws and blowing a 7 point lead in the 4th did the Nuggets in. The Lakers should feel lucky they got the W, if every game after is played that way they are in for a battle.

But every game won't be like that. I can't imagine Kobe will be the only guy to show up offensively in the following games. And their defense was terrible, save a few huge plays. I admit I haven't watched Denver a lot this year, but they seemed to play their top game outside of choking in the final four minutes and the Lakers played rather poorly. I think Lakers in 5 or 6.

The duo of Country and Solitaire is easily my favorite portion of the record. Those lyrics are great.

I am on Verizon, but haven't seen anything worth upgrading to. My phone is from maybe 2004? 2005? Big and stupid, but amazing in every way. I can't imagine I will ever own a phone half as good (as a phone). It's some sort of Audiovox phone. I don't even think they make phones anymore. But it's great. I met a kid at a wedding recently who had my phone, and he was the only other person I had ever seen with it. He, too, would not get rid of it despite being doubly worthy of an upgrade because it is amazing.

My next phone will be an iPhone, but I need several jobs first.

Annnnnnnnd.....I should have gone to bed an hour ago. But I can't complain, seeing as this has been one of the better weeks, in the whole of human history, to be a Wilco fan.

I am losing faith that this will actually happen.
