  1. I saw willie open for the dead in 03. WHen the dead came out willie was in towe, he must have been stoned out of his gourd cause he just sat in the back with his guitar the whole time, barely played a note, let a lone a solo. ETA: So i was looking through my shows and noticed that the first show i had with a segment labeled space was from 1980. I was curious if anyone knew when "space" started.
  2. No you didn't but you acted as if this defended your opinion.
  3. Murray Street is really accessible and really awesome. Love that record.
  4. Ah-ha ETA: I'm listening to the 4/19 set and while good I think Satisfaction is the last thing I'd want to hear coming out of space. Especially this take, Bob fucking sing for gods sake. BOBBY LET BOBSTAR SING!
  5. Thats what I hear. Supposedly billy said this on XM. If I remember right I herd that in 03 bobby and phil were taking turns.
  6. word just got it. I'll probably wait till later and go for stroll with this as my soundtrack.
  7. are you speaking of the youtube leak that got pulled? Are there mp3s circulating?

  9. Thats odd they aired that considering the dvd is in color and all cleaned up. Some of those graham videos are great, I have a CSN show from the mid seventies and midway through neil makes a surprise appearance. I heard a while back that wolfgangs vault was gonna start releasing that stuff don't know what happened there.
  10. winterland is definitely in color. I believe it was shot for PBS. there is this black and white footage i know of http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7266558837777750405 4/26/1977 which is from the capitol theatre, i belive there is a solo JGB show from there in B&W as well. As for the grateful dead movie, i thought the only "trippy" stuff was the opening cartoon?
  11. I concur Id say these are the two most essential official dvds. Anyone remember hearing about an offical release of SSD? I hear there is footage of that incredible Sing Me Back Home.
  12. The best you can find for free on google video "Sunshine Daydream" its from august 27 in oregon and sublime is the only word to describe it
  13. I feel you on the 100 dollars part. ETA: I just my tickets right after i posted that. I only payed fifty but these are 100 dollar seats. I can't believe they are charging on hundred to sit on the opposite side of the arena, second level 8 rows back.
  14. I haven't listened to Albany yet but the other shows feature little noodling, there have been a few times jams just didn't go anywhere (but they were still in the song structure). Up until last night which had an 8 song second set most of the shows have featured a large space section in the second set. I guess its not for everyone but I love me some space,
  15. i'd say the show hit its peak mid way through that dancing right through space.
  16. Any quick guesses at the encore? Maybe an Attics? US Blues?
  17. I can picture bob twirling his finger to kill the jam right before OMSN. Its time to go home kids. 4/18/2009 Worcester, Mass. 18. its live, sign up for a free trial on the sirius radio site, then tune into the grateful dead channel ETA: I hear they are not going to allow these radio streams to be uploaded to archive.org
  19. If you don't care where you sit there are ones for 20 and 30 bucks on the side or behind the stage on stubhub.
  20. there are going to be a few more of these, hopefully we'll know when sooner. MB you hitting any of the shows?
  21. haha over on the philzone someone was just mentioning how their cat was freaking on two seconds ago.
  22. The Drums and space on this tour have been really good. I wish they would do a show of all this kind of stuff, like the infared roses disc. Late night at a festival.
