i was't so much ripping courtney as defending yoko. i know she isnt everyones cup of tea, but I really like some of her stuff, esp. the FLY record.

Someone left this at my friends work. We popped it in the other night, looking forward to listening with headphones. Loved the crickets at the end. For a second I forgot I was in a high rise in Chicago.

I thought it was raw (poorly mixed) and loud, obnoxiously loud.

Did not know this was not recorded as an ensemble. Can anyone think of album that was put together with all parties recording their parts separately and it turning out good?

Sure its not BAD but its awfully vanilla. If those names weren't involved I doubt we'd even have herd this thing came out.

Absolutely, very dry. I don't know the DBT's at all but this is not going to get me to check em out, the drums really are what brought it down for me. Oh, well I guess there are slew of other releases to look forward too this year.

Hopefully on sunday the dead will bust out this classic! Or maybe this is more up your alley

You can say that again, awful was more along my line of thinking. The production is really terrible as well.

New Morning is one record I always thought sounded 20x better on record, very warm production.

I'm gonna have to look that up. Are you saying the vocal is better? I really like when Joan would sing that one, I remember her and warren did a duet at vegoose a few years back.
