  1. I spent all morning trying to get 2 tickets for Chicago, finally gave up and went to the Riverside/Pabst/Turner Hall site. I got tickets right away.

Although my confirmation shows exact seats/row/section, I could have sworn I had read/heard that the tickets for this show would be GA. Could someone help me out. I went ahead and ordered the 2 for the balcony, and then 1 for the floor.

I'd like to know beforehand about the arrangements though. Thanks!

  2. Sadly it appears Kevin's time has past. There may be a used copy of the Chamber Strings second CD at Lauries and they are easy to find online. His new songs are all excellent, but due to the flakey record biz, it had no buyers.

That's too bad, I love Kevin Junior and the Chamber Strings. The first time I saw Wilco was a pre Thanksgiving show at the Vic, and the Chamber Strings opened. I totally fell in love with their music that night!

Hi there!! Love Company in my Back.. :music

  4. I figure if you have a seat, you should get to use it...Of course I'm the World's Oldest Wilco Fan and shouldn't even be out with you younguns. :ohwell :ohwell

I certainly want to use my seat at the UIC Pav, but I also know that everyone around and in front of us will be standing, so I guess I'll have to stand too, unfortunately. At least I can always sit when needed, but it's no fun to look at peoples backsides instead of the band.....

  5. Traveling to Chicago to see Chicago show at UIC. Can anyone tell me what time I should get in line for General Admission tickets? I want to be up front. Thanks.

I think you're saying you already have tickets? If so and you want to get a good place to stand, I'd suggest getting there very early, at least 4 hrs before the show.... The regulars who do this will probably have a better idea, but I know it should be early for a good position. I'll be there but we have seats so no problem for us. Looking forward to it, it will be the second show on this tour for me.. yeah, I know that's not much... ;)

If on the other hand you don't have a ticket at all, then good luck to you getting one.... :)

  6. We just finished season 2 via Netflix. I really love this show.

Took me quite a while to warm up to Deb, but now I like her. She delivered what may be my favorite line of the whole series so far, in one of the last episodes of the second season.

Yeah I love love this show too. Deb's line, was it the one about Lila on a broom stick maybe..?

Deb does have a way with words. :lol

  7. Nah, it's not nearly as tiny as Otto's. Probably about 1,500-2,000 capacity if I had to guess. There's a U-shaped balcony with seats, so that adds some room. And there's a similar U-shaped ring of seats on the main floor as well, though I don't know if those are GA or reserved or what. But anyway, the stage is pretty low and the acoustics are just really good for a club.

It's actually a pretty nice space; the main floor is carpeted. You definitely wouldn't find that at Otto's. :pirate

Wow, I'd sure love to see Wilco at Otto's again......probably something that will never happen, but would be so great!

Paul, you must be early celebrating your birthday! Continue having fun and thanks always for your setlist and descriptions....! :)
