Thanks Ro!. Sometimes, I get really sick of this place and all the 'Jeffy is out of a cast' or not-funny random thought crap - but the Np thread makes it all worthwhile.

thanks!!! Upload would be most appreciated. Noticed that David Grubbs gets mentioned in Ross' Blog. Playing the Bacon game, that means Tweedy is only a couple steps away from Feldman in musical connections.

Ro - do you have any Morton Feldman? Reading the New Yorker bio and I had heard of the guy, usually in the same breath as John Cage, but never really head any of his music. Love him for this quote alone: 'If a man teaches composition at a university, how can he not be a composer? He has worked hard, learned his craft. Ergo, he is a composer. A professional. Like a doctor. But there is that doctor who opens you up, does exactly the right thing, closes you up - and you die. He failed to take the chance that might have saved you. Art is a crucial, dangerous operation we perform on ourselve

-None other than mr 'Taking Care of Business and working overtime' Randy Bachman. Supposedly the Faith Video was filmed in BC, the director's knew of Bachman's massive collection of fantastic guitars and asked if they could borrow one or two. Burton Cummings was the goofball.

who is the true owner of this Guitar: hint - also had an early to mid career black-haired-goofball sidekick.

Well - since Kyle is away for a while, let's try to make this the longest NP thread in recent memory: Sundown (sundown) I miss you sundown (sundown) I need you sundown (sundown) Come on come on back to me Come on come on back to me

the demo disc from the Rhino version of: Love the skiffle piano/guitar only version of Veronica. Do you suppose, that waiting hands on eyes, Veronica has gone to hide? And all the time she laughs at those who shout her name and steal her clothes Veronica Veronica

my god this pretty damn boring and worse, pointless. What is with Sweet, Kozelek and now Phillips doing this?

Just came back from the show and the ears are still buzzing. This band is about as indie pop as I go and I was sorta put off by all the 'know all the lyrics and sing along' fans that crowded up front. However it was a great and long show with songs from all three of the CDs. Bonus were the 5 or 6 new songs that I gotta say bode well for the next release. It looks like John Sampson has discovered what backing vocals can do and the new songs just friggin fly. Talked to them quickly after the show and the US and European leg of the tour start up on July. Also asked about a new cd and sa
