  1. yay! JAY FARRAR, WILL JOHNSON, ANDERS PARKER, & YIM YAMES Album title: NEW MULTITUDES Release date: January 2012 Record label: Rounder Records http://www.woody100.com/newreleases.htm
  2. and poptodd, there is another album on Daniel Romano's label that you'd probably love: Funeral Song is incredible. It's gotten to the point where just buy everything that You've Changed records puts out.
  3. cool Kalle. Going up to the French River/Sudbury in late September for a Canoe Trip. Bribing my trippies with dinner and a night at the Sudbury Hilton if we go to Cosmic Dave's and The Townhouse Tavern first. Never been to the Townhouse. Poptodd. Brian is one of the Musicians from the excellent band Ox. The song that just got me is here: http://www.herohill.com/2010/08/reviews-brian-dunn-examining-the-fallout.htm
  4. Brian Dunn - Examining the Fallout. this is ridiculously good
  5. Hmm - Eric Burdon solo at some crummy biker bar on Kingston Road in 1980. It was an oldies show, but the guy brought it in spades.
  6. Swept in high off a busted lip I don't know if she gave a shit It's a long way out from here Just don't crawl to me 'Cause I've got no sympathy I murder the dog and kill the puppy
  7. Baby, I can't through this again I don't need to go down more than I've already been Just like a wild wild fire, you're running all over town As much as you've burned me I should be ashes by now
  8. weezer - pinkerton. Fun to go back to the 90s with the help of dollar used cds.
  9. wow. another one of my misses from last year. When I decide to die, or whatever All the folks that I felled Figure its my time To pack up all my things And move across the line And get reacquainted with the dirt You can toss me in the hole in the ground or whatever You can light me on fire Throw me in the river Just don't prop me in a coffin So some preacher can deliver Some uninspired words from the book.
  10. of course I totally disagree. Last one was marvelous and really welcome after three albums of the same sounding singer/songwriter things. I certainly loved catalpa etc all but she needed to change things up and what's not to like about M Ward's backup? This one keeps up the same semi-electric direction.
  11. liking this better than the Gillian Welch, but I don't revel in any of the GW discs. Live, it is different and I love seeing her. Interesting that Holland is generally a train wreck live.
  12. Like the Charles Bradley better. Grittier.
  13. 1) Fucked Up - David Comes to Life 2) Christine Fellows - Femme des Chez Nous 3) Singing Adams - Everybody Friends Now 4) Charles Bradley - No Time for Dreaming 5) Middle Brother - Middle Brother 6) Jennifer Castle - Castlemusic 7) $100 - Songs of Man 8) Dawes - Nothing is wrong 9) Maggie Bjorklund - Coming Home 10) Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones 11) Dirtbombs - Party Store 12) Daniel Romano - Sleep Beneath the Willows almost and will likely include: Alela Diane, Sharon Van Etten disappointments - Social Distortion
  14. thanks. About to contact his touring guy.
  15. another new song http://media.ifc.com/mp3/music/2011/06/Richard-Buckner-Escape.mp3 This gives me wood. It sounds all D+D and Sincey. from this article: http://www.ifc.com/news/2011/06/exclusive-download-interview-r.php
  16. I should just extract all the Patrick songs and only ever play them.
  17. Fucked Up - Walking on Sunshine https://www.box.net/shared/static/3ybenrnxj2.mp3
  18. I have an older one with and only use a couple bays. Currently have a 1tb and a variety of 750/500 gigs drives. Use Flacs/apple lossless and don't really like MP3s except to check out some new things.
  19. can't stress how much I like the Dobro. http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Data%20Robotics,%20Inc./DRDS2A21W10/?utm_source=nextag&utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_campaign=productads easy to put to use those older hard drives as additional backup. Of course you are limited to the size of your smallest drive, but new ones are so cheap, it's not much of a concern. Bad part is trying to remember to swap out a drive and store it in a different place.
  20. friend's review which I totally agree with: This new one is all anthems. It is amazing. Black Flag plays Quadrophenia. Layers and layers of chiming/strumming/kerranging chords and a drummer that nearly always opts to pummel = a very happy me.
  21. another Fantastic You've Changed release . I should just trust everything they put out.
