Yeah, the review was fcuking awful, I was intrigued by the people involved on it. Some nice stuff on there for sure, but I agree, not as great as they made out.

Over-rated

No one buys me music for christmas / birthday now! Vouchers if anything. I've for First Step on CD which is good, but better is the "best of" one Good Boys When They're Asleep, which is absolutely fantastic... Pool Hall Richard is worth the price alone

Good news that they've not split entirely then... I'm very interested in that Andrew / Ben Gibbard EP if you point me in the right direction...

I suppose this is another discussion, slightly off topic here, about brushing up old recordings. I don't think the old Beatles stuff sounds bad at all, it's a product of it's time, that's how it sounds...
