What is that?

Finished Time's Arrow last night... really is a great book... there's some great bits in it and the irony that the concious believes he's doing more harm as a doctor than when he's at the concentration camp is well put together...

What a great film this is... you can literally feel the love in the band and this feeling from the other guys that they were breaking new ground... live footage rules to!

I got a promo through of the album - it's very good... I'm just a little bit disappointed with James vocals though, sounds like he's really screeching in places and it kinds of spoils my enjoyment of the songs...

How is that? I've seen so much about them but managed to avoid any actual music so far...

Speaking of Martin Amis I'm going to start Time's Arrow this evening... He's one of my favourites as well. Just finished: Apart from the very similar biog parts in the articles, the interviews with him are great and laugh out loud in places...

World Party @ SXSW 2006

I caught The Beta Band on their farewell tour and they were excellent - couldn't believe that they were calling it a day. They certainly didn't release a record to match the 3 EP's though... perhaps that, in the end, was the problem...

Currently watching Arsenal v Zagreb in a Champions League qualifier... Arsenal's new ground is really something... but they're 1-0 down on the night though 3-1 on aggregate... No Henry, he's on the bench...
