jhc
Anybody have the lead guitar tab? doont have either the song or my guitar right here, but I think the riff sounds like something like this e-------7---7--6--5--4--------b------------------------------g--6s7-----7--6--5--4------- I'm not sure I like this version to tell you the truth. That electric riff reminds me too much of some 60's song, and it get's a little repetitive Edited January 26, 2006 by jhc

Hmm i thought the song needed something else... like it was great hearing it live at NYC with ORourke, but i felt like a riff over the simple chords was needed. They definitly could have put a little solo riff in though at the break in the song instead of just repeating that lead guitar part again.

WilcoFan
i can never get the chords to show up right over the lyrics As the good Dude Lebowski has noted before, the best trick is to use the "Code" button above and it will format properly when you submit. jhc
doont have either the song or my guitar right here, but I think the riff sounds like something like this e---4------7---7--6--5--4--------b----------------------------------g-3s4---6s7---7--6--5--4------- Update, that's the riff between the G and E chords. The main riff can be played like this: e--------------------------b----6-----7---7-6-5-3---g-------------------------d-5s6--6s7---7-6-5-4-- although there are a few ways to do this, and as the song progresses it sounds like there are actually two or more riffs layered on top of each other. mastershake
could anybody help me out with this: for the acoustic version of this song, what is the little chord riff he does at the end of each phrase like for the first line He [E] resurfaced on the sidewalk [A] on my block the other [D] day it's not just [D] that he plays at the end, it's something like [D][E][D] or maybe it's just an upstroke (i guess that is what you call it) on the top e does that sound right? I think what you're looking for is a Dsus2 --D-D--Dsus2-D e-2-2--0-------2b-3-3--3-------3g-2-2--2-------2-dae
