WilcoFan
So I got the automatic update the other day. It's awesome. There are a couple of differences and it has a built-in spell check!
rghammo
Try Opera.
Welsh Rich
I like it too... though I'm not sure if it's a little bit sluggish compared to 1.5 on my home pc, at least... time for that upgrade then!
phonophore
I just got it on Friday and it's pretty great. I dig the spell checker and the interface is nice and clean too.
WilcoFan
Try Opera. Looks like some neat features. I will try it out.
napoleon
i really love the update. my favorite thing about it is the restore session option for whenever it crashes.
Kicking_Television
Try Opera. i've found too many websites that aren't compatible with opera, especially image loading and the like, i prefer mozilla, this thread made me dl 2.0 and i'm loving it.
solace
yeah, Opera is fast as hell no doubt, but i just don't like the way it looks/feels to me, hard to explain it. plus i'm now highly indebted to extensions
muller
I've never gotten on well with Opera. Firefox 2.0 is the best browser ive used yet - its as fast as anything on both my macs - even my sluggish 256mb eMac. The session restore function is a great idea. solace
i previously used Tab Mix Plus, which had the restore/session saver option (it's implementation is still a bit better than FF 2.0's, but i digress), there's also been the Session Saver extension too. WilcoFan
There are the RSS feeds. I create a live bookmark to the RSS feeds and put them in my Bookmarks toolbar. That's pretty helpful.

Guest tandylacker
For those who haven't investigated much on Oink, there is a great oink extension for the search in the top right. Just select the oink icon, type in a name and you're there... On their links page at the bottom: http://oink.me.uk/links.php
lizish
anyone finding FF 2.0 a bit slow? I seem to be able to type ahead at least once every sentence, without a lot going on on the PC. Switching tabs and recognition of text as a link is also sometimes a 2-3 second delay. Other apps on the same computer don't seem to be effected.

Other apps on the same computer don't seem to be effected. That doesn't sound good. I would re-install. I'm sure you've already tried that... but.. I don't know. Mine seems to be just a tiny bit slower than 1.5, but has so many better features/tweaks that I just can't care too much. It's only really slower for me when I open the browser and since I do tab browsing, I don't really have to open the browser too often. Maybe one of your extensions is affecting the performance... Reinstall!
cryptique
Weird. 2.0 actually seems faster to me.

That's exactly what I'm getting... especially the tab switching... very odd...
solace
2.0 is way faster here on OS X what extensions do you have installed?
Welsh Rich
Only the defaults at the moment - not installed anything on top of it...
street spirit
i'm running it on a PC with XP and it's working fine, if not faster than 1.
