Calexico
Wasn't Weiland always the same bag of bones nutjob though?
Analogman
That is from some dudes blog I read. I always thought they should have done a tour with Audioslave - it could have been called: The Titans of Generic Rock.
Calexico
How could Audioslave go so wrong? Two great bands merge into one lumpy mess.

Sir Stewart
Just wondering - was this projected in the background while Sammy and Mike accepted the VH award?
EL the Famous
They are finished anyway - It's for the best...Rage is getting back together for some festivals this Summer. Just the concept of that is 100X more exciting than anything Audioslave or solo Cornell ever did. EDIT: and Peter's last post was genius.
Analogman
I think he is putting out another solo album - I read that somewhere. Maybe they can get Kim Thayilout of his bunker.

Analogman
Ths sound of those 2 cds is not all that great - the new best of corrects that - although. I wish they would have just put out the cds again re-mastered. Rhino is also doing a limited (5,000 copies) of a live cd from the first tour with Dio. Of course, they are out right now and playing sold out shows all over the place.
bjorn_skurj
I'd go see a Dio-fronted Sabbath.
Analogman
I'd go see a Dio-fronted Sabbath. I think the NY shows are sold out.

Analogman
I don't think I could handle being around all those medal heds.
bjorn_skurj
I had an awesome time when I saw the Ozzy-fronted Sabbath in '99. I felt like I was among my own tribe.

Analogman
I actually just read it again the other day. Henry Rollins actually helped him edit that book. I would like to read the original version - it was 2,000 pages or something.
Sir Stewart
Wow, I didn't know all that. I liked when Dave was on The Sopranos and he mentioned that he used to write off condoms on his tax returns.
