Analogman
"The Mark & Gary album with Chris Robinson producing is in fact finished, and it is so amazingly great that it sounds like pure magic. I think all the fans of the Olson/Louris Jayhawks will be very, very pleased, as will a host of other music fans who just love great songs and beautiful harmonies. No word yet on release dates or labels, although that will all work itself out soon. I think they will definitely tour together as well, hopefully in the US and in Europe. As a separate matter, Mark Olson finished recording his next solo album this past November, and it is by far his most fully realized work in his post Jayhawks life. An incredible collection of wonderfully beautiful and moving songs, probably amongst his best songwriting ever. It was produced by Ben Vaughn, and Gary also sings harmony vocals on a few of the songs as well. That record will be released on HackTone Records in the US & Canada on May 8, 2007.
