OCP003
Yeah, I thought that sounded a bit far-fetched, too. Maybe 50,000... Being There is definitely certified GOLD. Trust me. I don't know why the RIAA doesn't list it though.
HighFives
As my son used to say, "are you true?"I like Bonnie Prince Billy but I can't imagine he has sold 500,000 copies of anything ... I dunno in the drag city news section they said it went gold. That could be because there was a cd, dvd, and lp of it tho.
napoleon
IATTBYH is a 2 disc dvd. does that count towards sales like being there does?

HighFives
Yeah, I was commenting about Bonnie "Prince" Billy. I was surprised too. Maybe Drag City was just pulling my chain? I think they said something like "The Letting Go went gold much faster than the other BPB records" something like that. I found it surprising and it could be a joke or something I dunno. kathyp
As my son used to say, "are you true?"I like Bonnie Prince Billy but I can't imagine he has sold 500,000 copies of anything ... The Letting Go peaked at #180 on the Billboard 200. (Says All Music.) To scrape the bottom of the chart you only have to sell, what, 2000 albums? That record came out in September, and unless it's still clinging to the nether regions of the chart, I can't see it selling 500,000.
