Calexico
I love this show. I am fully aware that it is edited to kingdom come and that doesn't detract one little bit from my enjoyment of it. Those are some hardcore guys. I worked on a trawler for a while, nothing like the kind of conditions these guys face, and it is one long fucking slog. The Northwestern crew are bad ass dudes. Edgar Hansen looks a little like a rough Dave Grohl to me.
Analogman
I spent a few hard day's nights out there myself back in the day.

bigshoulders
A good Discovery Channel crossover opportunity would be to stick that Man Vs. Wild dude in one of the crab pots with only a wet suit, snorkel, and flint, and see if he lives. That man in Man Vs. Wild doesn't really spend the night outside. It's more like Man Vs. Room Service. Deadliest Catch > M vs. W.
Good Old Neon
To up the drama into the stratosphere, the producers should totally relocate some Somali pirates to the Bering Sea - let them fight it out with Phil-I

Good Old Neon
I actually read an article yesterday about TNT's plans to do a show about the pirates. Cool, maybe a larger budget will allow the pirates to dress and arm themselves a little bit more traditionally. Not to mention decent ships and actual planks to walk and stuff
