CommerceComet
I checked out Aqueduct last night at The Opolis in Norman. I hadn't heard much of the band until the new record "Or Give Me Death." I was impressed with the disc and even more impressed with the show. Lots of energy in this indie pop outfit. My favorite song is "Keep it Together" and judging from crowd reaction, I'm not the only one. Looks like plenty of dates coming up so if you're on the fence about Aqueduct I definitely recommend going. http://www.aqueductisgoodmusic.com/

CommerceComet
where did they play in norman? i have a friend there, sometimes visit, and am wondering where the kids go to hear the groovy tunes. It was at The Opolis in downtown Norman. I also saw Autumn Defense play there in February.http://www.starlightmints.com/opolis.html Sadly, many acts go straight from Dallas to Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa and skip OKC and Norman. borracho
Opolis is owned by one of the Starlight Mints, so they've probably got a lot of contacts and get some good groups there - Mountain Goats, John Vanderslice, Spoon, etc... only holds about 150 people, so it's very intimate. Guestroom Records used to be next door, which was a cool way to kill some time before shows, but they've moved to another location. but yeah, more groups should use that I-35/OKC stop as a show option...
