TCP
On Being There, what song(s) does John play violin on? Further more, what track(s) does Jeff play bass?? I assume Jeff plays bass on the track that John plays violin on.
lost highway
I remember some story about on one song they had everyone play and instrument they were uncomfortable on (might be the noisier version of misunderstood which was mixed in with the mellow version making the song we know and love). Remember that violing screeching at the very beginning of BT? I might be wrong but I think its there. That wouldn't be the same instance as Jeff playing Bass seeing as he is quite comfortable with the instrument.

mpolak21
I'm pretty sure it's Misunderstood. I remember reading that they all swapped instruments for this song in the Kot book, I believe. --Mike
TCP
Oh and that explains why Ken gets a guitar credit. And Jay a drum.
So Long
actually I thought it was Dreamer in my Dreams...
TCP
Really? That fiddle is rippin', I don't know if John could play like that. I always assumed it was Max. I mean, if he could play like that I'm sure he would have played violin on some other Wilco stuff at some point.
