Let's Not Get Carried Away

Early June, 2004. A great show.

It was right after JT got out of rehab. He was on point. It was also one of the early shows with (i think) the current line up.

not sure if anyone answered your question Embarcadero, but "Is This The Thanks I Get?" was recoreded, but instead of being any sort of B-side or bonus track, they are putting it on the next album, which, if what they say is true could be out between a year and a year and half. it's an exciting time to be a Wilco fan, ya know?

New album or a VW car commercial? I saw the other thread, but just saw the commercial on discovery. It woke me up out of my blissful Saturday afternoon TV daze.

There was talk in interviews around the time that SBS's track listing was announced that "Thanks I Get" might appear on Wilco's follow-up to the new record, but I think we can safely rule that out now (although I'm sure the same people who held out hope for "The Good Part" showing up on SBS will be crossing their fingers in vain for "Thanks" in another year or two from now). But hell, we've got a studio take of one of Wilco's best songs, and that's enough to make me happy.

I assumed the same thing.

Wow, this bonus version is really great... and there's something funny about how the first track used in the VW campaign isn't actually on the album.
