Wilco Worshipper
Guys, you have NO IDEA how much I miss being there (no pun intended...lol). I used to go out a few times a year and now I haven't been back since February of '04. WAY TOO LONG...SOOO sad!!! So tell me...what are your favorites places to eat? Where do you take newcomers in the city? How does the lake look this time of year? Tell me ANYTHING about it!!! I've been to the Planetarium...A-MA-ZING!!! And the aquarium, that was nice. I also visited Wrigley and Comiskey (it will ALWAYS BE Comiskey, right Sox fans?!?). I ate at Gino's, Lou Malnati's, Cock Robin, Morrie O'Malley's, Ledo's (in the burbs), Shake n Steak (or w/e the heck it's called), Portillo's and many more just can't remember them now. Oh and Billy Goat Tavern, of course!!! You know what I NEVER did?!? I never went to the Sears Tower, or the Hancock or anything like that. And sadly, I have to admit...no Navy Pier...YET!!! So please let me live vicariously thru those of you who get to enjoy it each and everyday My dream, btw...is to someday live in one of the apartments in the sky overlooking the Lake, the Loop and the Park I Chicago!!! Nice! Yup, yup...my ex-boyfriend and his family live in Downers Grove, so that's why I was there. And, oh my god, I forgot about El Ferrol's (sp?!?) down by 55th, I think, after you come out of Midway AND I discovered White Castle for the FIRST time in Chicago. We don't have them up here, gotta travel to Jersey for the "sliders"
