awatt
Also was an article in NYTimes about how horrible music biz is these days, but no mention of Wilco....perhaps it's time to start a new thread?
unposed_question
Jeff has been out front on this issue for years. With the rise of the internet, the computer has become the access point for music distribution, not the record store. The more that bands take control of this access point, the more power they will have. The fact that Wilco uses their website so much proves that they believe this. While there will always be the indie record store and the Best Buy, they are increasingly becoming relics of a bygone time.
