Although it's been raining in Scotland for months it finally stopped for this mini Festival - just in time to welcome Wilco back.

The set as I remember it and thus not wholly accurate, or indeed in this order (too busy enjoying it to take notes!):

Misunderstood

Side with the Seeds

You are my face

I am trying to break your heart

Shot in the arm

Handshake drugs

Via Chicago

Impossible Germany

Walken

Hummingbird (I think!)

I'm always in love

Jesus, etc

I'm the man who loves you

Spiders

Encore:

The late greats

Set was curtailed by the 10.30pm curfew and the fact that the previous band, The ©Rapture, overran. Jeff said he was cutting the chat to get 'straight to the rock' and by god they did. There were some funny moments when the crowd started chanting the tune from 'Funkytown' that was wafting over from the dance tent during 'Spiders' and the band duly provided the theme.

Encore nearly didn't happen at all, as the crew started to strip the stage before the band came back out. However we left happy and hopeful that if there is a Dublin show in November that they will get back to Scotland for a full concert - c'mon guys!!

It's raining again now - but Wilco brought the sky blue sky for one day at least...

Are they playing in Dublin in November? Do you know when and where?

According to the post and subsequent link in the 'Just a Fan' section they are due for Dublin in November but no confirmation as yet. I'll be booking my flight as soon as it does!

The band were amazing, great to finally see them on this tour. We flew over from Ireland just for them and it was an awesome festival, very small.

The band were walking around all day and anybody could have met them. First I met was Mikael, he was looking at the t shirt and vinyl stalls, very cool and sorta softly spoken guy and he said that he wasnt sure exactly about Ireland, but the plan is Europe again in Fall sometime.

Then John was having a few beers and watching a band in one of the tents with a friend and all day was walking around, Nels was walking about and later you could see him and Jeff in the backstage chatting and sitting around.

Then later that night at 8 Andrew Bird was in the BBC 6 tent, Jeff and Glenn watched the show from the side and were later joined by Pat. Wilco were on at 9 so they headed off about 8.45(guess they dont have a long pre show getting ready ritual).

It was generally the same all weekend, most bands were just chilling out and walking around, the place was so small and had good vibes, def no kind of hassle.

Also, set list seems right but Hummingbird def wasnt played, was cool to hear "I'm Always In Love" . Jeff was laughing and seemed to loosen up and have fun from about half way through.

Some pics for anyone interested:

Wicked festival. I'm going again next year for sure! They did a superb job. All the bands playing really seemed to enjoy the relaxed vibe, as well.

My first Wilco gig and it was GREAT !! :thumbup :dancing I even got the setlist at the end (see pics) and yep it's wrong,...they started with "Misunderstood", didn't play "War on war" or "Hummingbird" but played "Late greats" on the encore.

Some very short clips from the show (damn my 256mb memory card :ohwell ):
