Gobias Industries
Now that we've been through the presale(s) and tickets have gone on sale to the general public, can we turn this into a "roll call" thread? I'll be there! :):):) I am so there. I think there should be a preconcert Canes meetathon for use VC folks, but that's me.
DAngerer09
I'll be coming up from Athens ( I go to OU) for the show. Me and my friend, who has never been to a Wilco show, will be in the 2nd row of the pit. Can't wait.
tugmoose
I'm in row 1 section E, which means I probably won't be able to see half the stage, but I'll be in good position to pummel John if he starts lookin' at me funny.
fastfox
People are already trying to sell tickets for this show on ebay for outrageous prices.
quarter23cd
People are already trying to sell tickets for this show on ebay for outrageous prices. Umm, they're not even sold out yet....!?
DAngerer09
Yeah, but I'm sure there are some people that would rather buy overpriced tickets in the front row rather than buying seats that are further back for cheaper.
DAngerer09
Does anyone know if this venue has a curfew?
quarter23cd
Does anyone know if this venue has a curfew? No idea. But I've got a hunch that, being a on-campus venue, they probably won't be rockin' into the wee hours of the morning. But I don't know that for sure.

foolnrain97
Bump(because this is happening soon!) andDoes anyone know if this venue has a curfew?I was at the venue last night for a show(The Blow) and things were shut down shortly after 11, maybe 11:15ish was when everything was over...that's usually the ending time for shows around here. It's not too often that concerts go past 11 or 11:30.
quarter23cd
Bump(because this is happening soon!)Not sure if 2 weeks is "soon", but at least we are now in the same month.
quarter23cd
Here's a pointless bump for the hell of it. I'm actually glad this is a reserved-seat show since my bro-in-law and I each have to do some shuffling of kids to/from assorted sports activities that night and will probably arrive with barely enough time to snag a burrito at LaBamba's and slide into our seats just in time. If this were at the Newport or LC or something, we'd be in the back of the house talking to the bartenders. (not that there's anything wrong with that, either...but I'm pumped about actually being close to the stage for a Wilco show for a change)
DAngerer09
I'm pumped for Andrew Bird just as much.
Gobias Industries
This is like a dream bill to me. I meant to see Wilco two years ago, and Bird less than a year ago, so this is like major cool to get two freakin' huge birds of awesome with one stone.
quarter23cd
This just in: the show is now less than a week away and I have thus far managed not to misplace my tickets. That is all.
Wendy
This just in: the show is now less than a week away and I have thus far managed not to misplace my tickets. That is all. Continuing with your concert-readiness checklist, don't forget this one: Check your tires. True story: Unbeknownst to me, I had a nail in my tire and a slow leak, which the Jiffy Lube people caught the day before hitting the road for a 3-1/2-hour drive to Detroit for Stevie Wonder. If I would not have had that oil change, I very possibly would never have made it to the show. Jiffy Lube rules!

DAngerer09
I am so pumped for this. I get to see Spoon on Saturday, then Wilco AND Andrew Bird in the same night. Could be the best few days of live music I'll ever see. I'll have to check out that burrito place. If Wilco ever comes to Ohio University, everyone should check out the Burrito Buggy. quarter23cd
If Wilco ever comes to Ohio University, everyone should check out the Burrito Buggy. At OSU in the 90s there was a thing called the Burrito-bago (a Winnebago converted into a kitchen) that drove around and parked outside of parties and/or bars and served what was quite honestly the greatest thing I have ever tasted. (although the key to the Burrito-bago is that it was kind of magical in the sense that it only seemed to show up when you were completely hammered, so judgment might be impaired somewhat)
DAngerer09
Haha, yeah. I was gonna say, maybe you thought it was the greatest thing because anything would have tasted like the greatest thing at that point in your evening But that definitely sounds like a cool idea. Our Buggy just stays in one spot on the street.
foolnrain97
Burritos as big as your head!!! Are you guys coming to this show M. Bed?
tugmoose
**Big sigh** - can't make the show because Indians are in the ALCS. Those bastards better win. Of course, the World Series would screw me with DBT and TLTC. Can't win for winning.

Gobias Industries
Psh I think the shoddy pitching performance today deserves the Indians losing today...but I still wouldn't miss Wilco for the Indians...
