Bump(because this is happening soon!)

and

Does anyone know if this venue has a curfew?

I was at the venue last night for a show(The Blow) and things were shut down shortly after 11, maybe 11:15ish was when everything was over...that's usually the ending time for shows around here. It's not too often that concerts go past 11 or 11:30.

Here's a pointless bump for the hell of it.

I'm actually glad this is a reserved-seat show since my bro-in-law and I each have to do some shuffling of kids to/from assorted sports activities that night and will probably arrive with barely enough time to snag a burrito at LaBamba's and slide into our seats just in time. If this were at the Newport or LC or something, we'd be in the back of the house talking to the bartenders. (not that there's anything wrong with that, either...but I'm pumped about actually being close to the stage for a Wilco show for a change)

This just in: the show is now less than a week away and I have thus far managed not to misplace my tickets. That is all. :usa

Continuing with your concert-readiness checklist, don't forget this one:

Check your tires.

True story: Unbeknownst to me, I had a nail in my tire and a slow leak, which the Jiffy Lube people caught the day before hitting the road for a 3-1/2-hour drive to Detroit for Stevie Wonder. If I would not have had that oil change, I very possibly would never have made it to the show. Jiffy Lube rules! :rock

I am so pumped for this. I get to see Spoon on Saturday, then Wilco AND Andrew Bird in the same night. Could be the best few days of live music I'll ever see.

I'll have to check out that burrito place. If Wilco ever comes to Ohio University, everyone should check out the Burrito Buggy.

At OSU in the 90s there was a thing called the Burrito-bago (a Winnebago converted into a kitchen) that drove around and parked outside of parties and/or bars and served what was quite honestly the greatest thing I have ever tasted. (although the key to the Burrito-bago is that it was kind of magical in the sense that it only seemed to show up when you were completely hammered, so judgment might be impaired somewhat)

Haha, yeah. I was gonna say, maybe you thought it was the greatest thing because anything would have tasted like the greatest thing at that point in your evening :lol

But that definitely sounds like a cool idea. Our Buggy just stays in one spot on the street.
