LouisvilleGreg
Saw this excellent cover story/ interview while in Charlottesville for the show yesterday. Wilco was on the cover, their was a timeline/discography, the interview, a piece on Wilco gas stations and an interesting article featuring a musician from Charlottesville who opened for Wilco for a couple of weeks on the Being There tour. It was an absurd amount of press, four or five pages in all, with lots of photos. Enjoy, Greg Issue #19.42 :: 10/12/2007 - 10/18/2007 Guitar hero Introducing Wilco's musical leader, Nels Cline BY C-VILLE WEEKLY WRITERS Since the May 2007 release of Sky Blue Sky, Wilco's sixth proper album, the searing sounds of distorted jazz guitar
kidsmoke
Thanks for sharing that. Good stuff. Nels is such an interesting guy, and so direct. I enjoy listening to his take on things.
keylime
I like that interview, thanks for posting! I especially like that he says it was his idea to play Gut Feeling on NYE. Nice

the_fliz1
Great read. After seeing Nels play live in Detroit last week I definitely have a huge amount of respect for him as a player and as a performer.
bböp
I always love reading interviews with Nels because he's a really thoughtful guy, but there were some horrible misspellings in that piece. I mean, in this day and age, how hard is it to Google things? I'm sorry, but it just bugs me that they can't spell Paul Motian right and they apparently didn't know that Minutemen is one word. Or that the British band that Nels referred to was spelled Padow. (It's, of course, Patto). Sorry for the rant. Just the editor in me rearing his ugly head.
