Good Old Neon
For those interested, New York Magazine has a glowing review of the script by Dave Eggers & Spike Jonze for Where the Wild Things Are. If the script is any indication, this is shaping up to be an excellent adaptation of my most beloved "children's book." http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2007/...s_and_spik.html

PopTodd
Has Spike Jonze ever written anything before? I think he wrote the script for Being John Malkovich, as well as directing it.
Sir Stewart
No, Charlie Kaufman wrote that, and Adaptation.
Good Old Neon
Has Spike Jonze ever written anything before? Well, a quick scan of IMDB reports his writing credits as follows (gulp): 1. Weezer: Video Capture Device - Treasures from the Vault 1991-2002 (2004) (V) (treatment) (segment "El Scorcho") 5. Jackass: The Movie (2002) (television series) ... aka Jackass (USA) 6. "Jackass" (2000) TV Series (unknown episodes)7. How They Get There (1997) 8. Beastie Boys: Sabotage (1994) (V)
Sir Stewart
This script seems like something Kaufman would have been asked to tackle (with Jonze directing) - I wonder how Eggers got involved. Sounds really promising, anyway.

Good Old Neon
You've seen "Cars," right? I thought that whole movie was one big "wink, wink." Jay Leno has a cameo in it for chrissakes. I haven
Sir Stewart
Cars is the only Pixar one I haven't seen (except Ratatouille - but that one I actually want to see). It just didn't look good.

Colb Masta M
I thought Cars was going to suck too. But then I watched it. and I cried. You can't beat that part of the movie where the older car talks about how modern society is so preoccupied with destination of going that they lose the process of going somewhere. Beautiful. Beautiful. I've been waiting so long for Where The Wild Things Are. It's been in production stages for three years now.
markosis
Pixar, huh? That means computer animation, right? CRAP. I will stay far, far away.
