Scar Tissue

I just got done reading the Anthony Kiedis semi-autobiography Scar Tissue. I highly recommend it. It changed a lot of the things that I thought about the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and it's members. Also if anybody has any romantic notions of drug abuse I highly suggest you read it. It will show you just how hard addiction can be and the way it can fuck up your life.

Good to know someone else read Scar Tissue and was affected by it - I couldn't put the book down until I finished it.

I gained a whole new respect for the band and the changes they've gone through. Insight on the lyrics to some of their songs was interesting also.

My kid bought this book a month or so ago. I picked it up one rainy Sunday and didn't put it down until I was done. Very interesting stuff. I got to see RHCP a few times in the mid-late 80's w/ Hillel and I just loved them. One of the craaaaziest group of dudes I've ever seen.

 

Just goes to show how hard it is to get out of a hole when you dig one that deep.

you know, every time I'm in a book store I always look at that book and debate picking it up...I'll check it out now.

try David Crosby's book - Long Time Gone. some nice stories in there!

i'll definitely check this out. didn't know he had a book. the chili peppers have bee one of my fave groups for a long time. BLOOD SUGAR still gets me. i have my original cassette tape in my car & play it often.

Yeah, Scar Tissue was a much better read than I'd expected. He's pretty candid about just about everything.

i received this as a gift a year or so ago and have yet to read it...it does look good though.
