AFTER WILCO LET'S OUT (Around the Riv)

Recommended Posts

What do you want to do after Wilco let's out?

Pack it in and call it a night?

Run over to Fat Cat (a block north) and grab a drink?

Hit the late night shows at the Kinetic Playground on Saturday?

This made the Chicago reader's List this week!

Split Lip Rayfield on Saturday February 16 at the Kinetic Playground which is a block East of the Riviera Theater. SLR is a Bloodshot Recording Artist from Wichita Kansas. They rage on stage.

Parking around the Riv can be a bear, but here's a ninja parking secret... you can park in the lot at the corner of Lawrence Ave & Winthrop.

The parking is generally free for Kinetic Playground customers! So if you feel like coming in and having a drink, picking up your tickets for the late night shows... (getting wristbands etc...) you'll save yourself some time & money!

One more thing, I'll be donating my hair that night to make wigs for kids. I could use the support and a someone skilled with a pair of clippers.

Yeah, well I figured that was a post on what's going on around Chicago tonight?

And does everyone read every post?

Plus, I kind of gave y'all a good place to check on for easy parking. That was new.

Thank you for recognizing my ability to disseminate information and to promote events.

I'll try to keep it to a minimum in the future for ya!

Here's a short video from last night's SLR show:

It's good to see SLR carrying on after Kirk's death. I've been a fan since the mid 90s, being a Winfield regular and bluegrass junkie, but had yet to hear anything from them since his passing. This is great news and everyone who wants a good fix of hard driving, whiskey drinking, high energy bluegrass should definitely check them out next weekend.
