Carla
did anybody get in earlier with love police tickets? or are all the tickets the same? I had LP tickets but didn't get in earlier. The ticket I got back at the end as a souvenir looked the same as my original ticket, bar the price (I got a whopping 85 cent discount for buying from LP!). I did think the pre-release tickets were supposed to allow early entry though, so I was a bit disappointed. There was someone from the Enmore looking for people with Love Police stamps out the front and some people did get in early though. I don't know where these elusive stamps came from though and we got in about 5 minutes after that anyway.
squagels
so..... when's the bootleg going to surface?
exile
so..... when's the bootleg going to surface? You mean the one with This http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QR86VX65 on it? When this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IDBBFUS9 was the next song (sorry about the bloody security guy talking, and the rattling of people tramping along the front of the steel middle barrier ) The answer is soon, very soon. mp3 format only though, flac lovers are going to have to wait a few more day's for the torrent. ray
the same thing happened last year at the Enmore... the audience sang every word I guess that's true... but it felt like a bigger reaction this year because it was, relative to the lesser reactions to the other songs... and especially for the subdued beginning few songs (which I loved). It was a great show eitherway, and i'm just picking at nits as to the difference between this year and last's.

skyblue
I'm not posting very much lately but I have to say another awesome show on Tuesday night. John was in fine form and a particular highlight for me. You Melbournites are pretty lucky being able to see Autumn Defense next week. I was actually a bit disappointed at the end of the encore. I thought we could have shown a bit more appreciation at the end for them. I was sitting down about 5 rows from the front and the sound from there was ok. Also to the "very tall" people, please bear in mind all the short arses like me which did prove a little frusting at times in trying to see the guys on the stage. Also by the sound of what Jeff said we might be getting another visit from them next year. Here's hoping.
froggie
so with the tickets, as long as have a green love police one, you get in earlier? (as opposed to the yellow ticketmaster one). i have the green one, but whats all this about stamps? ps: anyone go to byron?
Preferred B
If your Love Police ticket has a stamp on it that says something like "This stamp is a Love Police action" then you will get in a few minutes early.
froggie
nup, no stamp on mine
Fritz
You Melbournites are pretty lucky being able to see Autumn Defense next week. What? Is this true?

Fritz
Lucky Melbourne! Truly lucky indeed. Was only listening to an AD show two days ago thinking how great it would be to see these guys. Please please please can somebody take lots of photos? If I can't be down there I'd love to see what it was like!
nedb
So I bought my Tix for Melbs from Love Police the day they were available. No stamp on mine either. I'll be pretty annoyed if these dont get me in early. Not only did I buy them from Love Police for the early entry, but their web site also claimed that these tix would be cheaper than those sold elsewhere which turned out to be complete crap. I'll be calling them to confirm my early entry this week, or I'll be asking for a refund on the excess cost of the tix. For those who havent been to the Metro in a while, I was there for Sonic Youth and the sound was absolutely horrid. Hopefully this will be fixed for Wednesday night. The set lists so far look amazing!

froggie
i'll have my camera with me, so i'll take photos if they let me. i'm sure john/pat will be cool with it, but sometimes the staff at instores can be real bastards. from memory, when wilco did one in 2003 here, cameras were banned in there. as for the love police tickets, i think they were a whole 80 cents cheaper than ticketmaster. i whole 1% discount! jimtweedy1977
I'm really happy to see 'Company' back in the setlist; one of my favorites from Ghost
H.Stone
I've meant to ask those in attendance, how is Tweedy's voice (in relation to how he struggled the last few shows in the US)?

froggie
no probs.. i can just feel the atmosphere by watching those, even though i'm 1000km away this time. being at the rail at the front last year for our Jesus ect singalong was a treat!
Scott Gyrrr
I've meant to ask those in attendance, how is Tweedy's voice (in relation to how he struggled the last few shows in the US)? in Auckland his voice sounded great though he looked a little frustrated with it/himself at times
