junebug
bigshoulders mentioned Tryon and Kildaire in an earlier post..are those places on or near those streets? Yes sir. The first two are right off Tryon.I'm assuming you'll be taking 1/64 to Koka booth. You'll get off right on Tryon road.If you pass Koka Booth there's a bunch of restaurants right there on Tryon. If you keep going you'll hit Kildaire Farm Road.Make a left, go about a mile and pass Cary Parkway...there will be a bunch more restaurants down there as well. Not far at all. I'll be coming from Florence SC, which means I-95 to I-40. After that, I don't know. I haven't gotten so far as to figure out how to get there yet. I'm more concerned with eating/drinking first. Thanks for the suggestions!
HungryHippo
Hibernian is an excellent restaurant/ Euro-styled pub, guess its supposed to be Irish. They serve an excellent Reuben sandwich I could eat every day of the week. sadly, there's really not much to do around here, the night life is next to non-existent. we do have a Walmart with a McDonald's in it next to Kokoa Booth/ Regency Park if anyone wants to meet up there for a Big Mac and Diet Coke! LouisvilleGreg
Just booked the Best Western within walking distance of the venue. I'll be there with my girlfriend, Annette. Also Courtney/ Magazine Called Sunset will be at the same hotel all the way from Chicago. Keep us posted if there are any eating plans pre-show. Take care, Greg
bigshoulders
Hibernanian Pub isn't too far away...Carraba's and also there's a great Mexican place called Chipolte Grill.Junebug,I'm guessing Chipotle has obtained all the necessary ABC permits by now... but didn't want to assume anything. I had lunch there when they first opened. Can you confirm if they serve alcohol there now? K
ryann7739
Hibernian is fantastic, though the one in Downtown Raleigh is better IMO. Me and my friends will probably be eating at Carraba's though. Wish I could join the Hibernian meetup (if there is one).
watch me fall
I seriously doubt I could eat at Carrabba's and then go to an outdoor concert after. Ugh. Think I'll stick with beer and bar food!
ryann7739
Yeah you're pretty right, even though their portions have gotten dramatically smaller over the years.
