ThankYouDonny
Quick question... Ticket time says 7:00. My wife and I are thinking about coming from the Charlotte area after work. Problem is, we wouldn't get there until around 7:45 at the earliest. What time will Wilco likely come on? I went to Ben Folds at this venue recently, and was really impressed with the venue. Thanks in advance for any help.
wufdude
I'm heading to the show tonight and it will be my first Wilco show. Absolutely can't wait! I've seen a few people ask about bars and/or pre-show drinking. I haven't seen anyone mention the Carolina Ale House, which is at the MacGregor Village Shopping Center, right off of US 64 West, which is what Tryon Road turns into after crossing over US 1. Probably only about 2 miles from Koka Booth. Being a rookie to live Wilco, any subtleties to their show that I need to be aware of? I've got lawn seats.

Thanks in advance for any help. Good question. On Bon Iver's myspace site it says he's going on @ 8...which would lead me to believe we won't see Wilco until 9 or 10. But the show says doors @ 5, show @ 7.
watch me fall
Someone mentioned that Cary has a noise ordinance, so that's why the start time is 7:00 vs 8:00. Also, Bon Iver has been coming on 15 minutes early. Last night it was around 7:45 but Wilco still didn't come on until 9:00 or so.
wufdude
Yeah, I was going to say that I thought Cary must have some kind of noise ordinance so I'd suspect the show would have to be over by 11. Maybe a little later. May have to extend my babysitting hours a bit....
ryann7739
Lawn meetup anyone? I'll be wearing a Wilco shirt probably by the time the show starts, but you can't miss my plaid shorts. Plus, I'm the only 14 year old there, I'm betting.

They spent extra time trying to set levels. Someone told me last night that Bon Iver was not supposed to play at Cary which seemed odd.

LouisvilleGreg
I believe our felloe VCer John Lackey designed the Cary poster, and it's a pretty one indeed.
