remphish1
I wish I was into Tuelpo when they were around and touring. That would have been an awesome show!!! Hopefully some more will make appearences soon! Just curious how many of you had the good fortune of hearing some Tupelo songs live and who played them. I got to hear:Life Worth Living (Son Volt)Black Eye (Jeff Solo)Wait Up (Jeff Solo)Still Be Around (Jay Solo)Slate (Jay Solo)Acuff-Rose (Jeff Solo)The Long Cut (Wilco)Chickamuga (Son Volt)New Madrid (Wilco)We've Been Had (Wilco)
PopTodd
I saw UT live, about a month before No Depression came out, and then about a month before they broke up. So I think that I heard a lot of them. But, off-hand the only ones that I can remember off the top of my head are: Graveyard ShiftWhiskey BottleChickamaugaNo DepressionGun (both with the band, and Jeff, solo... at a Wilco show)Still Be Around (Jay, solo... at a Son Volt show)That DayFactory Beltand a whole bunch more... hardwood floor
I saw Tupelo on the last tour and Wilco on the AM tour four or five times and Son Volt on the Trace tour three or four times, so .... a lot Uncle Tupelo at some point will be appreciated as one of the greatest bands ever. c.lo
I saw Jeff play "New Madrid" acoustic this summer at Lollapalooza with Bill Belzer on drums. No one in the croud seemed to know the song (but there was one old guy who nearly had a heartattack he was so excited). It was amazing & totally unexpected!
