The only difference is that Stewart passes himself off as comedy right from the get go. Rush passes himself off as the mouthpiece of the party and they let him.I really don't know why I'm defending Limbaugh so fervently, I suppose its in the hope that his listeners aren't THAT stupid. At the end of the day the Fairness Doctrine is absolute crap. Limbaugh's television show didn't last. So television is the liberal realm of media and AM radio is the conservative realm of media. That seems fair enough. FM radio is just crap. Limbaugh's tv show came on after Letterman, right? I remember seeing it a number of times. I didn't fail because it wasn't liberal enough. The Limbaugh listeners I know to a person say that Rush is not the source of their news, but to a person they parrot what he says and put forth his arguments as their own thinking.
