chockablock
I don't know if or how many times this has been addressed before...But if "Ashes of American Flags" was shot in Hi-Def, why isn't it being released as such. I have had my finger on the order button many times since the pre-order began, only to stop myself because I'm afraid the Blu-Ray will be announced the next day. As it stands the only upcoming release doesn't even match the technical specs of current televisions. I just know I'm just moaning...But in this era of international financial uncertainty, I freakin' know I'm gonna wind-up buying this twice. I just wish they'd give me a Hi-Def release date or remove "shot in Hi-Def" from the website, cuz as it stands now the blurb is meaningless. If i'm gonna get double-dipped, it might as well be from my favorite band.

isadorah
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent, and no one can make you buy this DVD twice. I never knew there was a second half to Eleanor's quote, very cool.
lost highway
To ease your whining, I suspected- and more tech savy member confirmed: shooting something in HD has a positive effect on its quality no matter what format it comes out on. The DVD will look good, because Brendan Canty and Christoph Green are good with cameras, and they use HD ones. It's not as if you're buying something that was recorded in stereo and pressed in mono. It will be awesome, don't worry.

bjorn_skurj
I never knew there was a second half to Eleanor's quote, very cool. Only us Hyde Park people know about it. She used to say it around town, at the A&P and the saloon and stuff.
