pnêyu
http://www.americansongwriter.com/2009/07/qa-sara-watkins/ I think Wilco is one of those bands that encompasses a lot of what I believe in and I identify with about music. The instrumentation is great and I relate to it a lot. Then there is a lot of stuff I love that I don’t relate to as much at all, and those are really exciting. Of Montreal is great. I love Kings of Leon and Radiohead too, of course. But bands that I don’t understand are also really intriguing (laughs).

cryptique
Also, on her new album she covers a John Hartford song that mentions Pekin. So there's that. Good album, by the way.

jimtweedy1977
I haven't heard the album yet (I'm kinda slow on new releases), but I do know it was produced by John Paul Jones. She also happens to share a record label with Wilco.

It also features some interesting guests, including Jon Brion, Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, Benmont Tench, Pete Thomas, Sebastian Steinberg, Greg Leisz, Ronnie McCoury, and her Nickel Creek bandmates.
