Sweet Papa Crimbo
Taking the boy to see Wilco at the Palladium. This will be our second Wilco show and his third show ever (also took him to see Springsteen...spoiling him for life). Got really jazzed when I heard that Liam Finn will be opening. I am really excited about seeing Eliza-Jane and Liam. Tried to get the presale tickets to get up front...but, as usual, no luck there. We will be on Nels side by the column. Hope it doens't rain...we'll be there really early. That's the way I roll.
drop dead ed
turns out presale tickets are the same, or so that's what forum members are sayin'. My ticket says GA2 under row/box and seat 92. I'm not sure what that means, if anything, but I thought it was General Admission all around? hmmm, well I'm coming from Austin and you can bet yo behind I'm aiming for front row and center. Also seeing them in Cedar Park, which probably is one of the weirdest places Wilco could play. I think it doesn't fit their style, but ah well.
drop dead ed
anyone have something to ease my worries? Do i still have a chance to get to the front without having to be seated?
Shakespeare In The Alley
I don't know anything about this particular venue, but just because a general admission ticket has a "seat number" does not mean you have a seat, if that make sense. I believe it's just a logistical thing for the venue to keep track of.
andshewas
Instead of going to Dallas on Friday night, I'll be moping in Norman at the Great Lake Swimmers concert. Couldn't get tickets.(I guess it's not all bad...) Hope there will be a taper or two there!

MWB
This will be the first time I'll be going by myself to a Wilco show. I'm getting a ride from OKC down to the show and (at least for right now) am planning on taking a Greyhound back to OKC. The good news is the bus station is less than a mile from the concert; the bad news is the next bus after the show doesn't leave until five in the morning. I'm not terribly familiar with that part of Dallas. Any of you Dallas people have suggestions on something to do or somewhere to go for the five or six hours between the show and the bus that won't involve me getting murdered? I'm afraid your options for killing time without getting killed are limited in that part of town. There's a place attached to the Palladuim called the "Studio Bar and Grill" that might stay open until 2am. A short cab ride away is the City Tavern at 1402 Main St. They have live music (usually Tx country) and should be open until 2. After that the safest place to be would be inside the Greyhound station I guess. There are after hours clubs but I'm not into the dance\bottle service\hip-hop scene so I can't help you there.Enjoy the show and good luck!
