bucephalus
Hello I'm new to the board - and this was my first time seeing either Jeff or Wilco. Truly fantastic evening. Hoping that it surfaces as a recording as I would love to hear it again. A great show in a beautiful venue.
BeShakey
Jeff did make a cryptic reply to someone recording a song with his phone that made it sound like the show was being recorded. Perhaps a CD of the Union Chapel and Spain shows?

CrisBcn
I'm gonna be seing Jeff tonight at the Faraday Festival (first show in Spain, in a seaside town near Barcelona), so I'll try to post some news about it tomorrow. The Festival is located in the gardens of an old mansion like building, up in a hill by the beach, so quite an intimate venue. The location is perfect though I'm afraid the audience is one of the most unrespectful to music I've ever seen... Or at least they were like that yesterday night, talking and "enjoying their time" not paying attention to any of the bands playing... So right now I'm just horrified to think that Jeff's solo show is going to survive to that experience... I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope that he'll be able to tame the wild with his music! We all know that he can do it!!! ;o)
Nigel Smith
I've now written review of the show on my blog Carnival Saloon and also posted a couple of MP3s from Jeff's previous London solo gig at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in 2005. Do leave a comment if you want to hear more from that set: Carnival Saloon: Jeff Tweedy @ Union Chapel, London 30/06/
Albert Tatlock
He did say "there's no recording of the show, well there is recording, but not that type". so maybe?I'd love to be wrong, but I took it to mean - you can tape (audio) but not video. I've now written review of the show on my blog Carnival SaloonThe copy of that review posted at No Depression also has a comment from the venue manager at Union Chapel regarding the camera ban.Comment by Andy 1 day ago I had the great pleasure of being the venue manager for this gig.It was a great night, with a couple of odd aspects. Why was a comedian booked to open the show? I've been to 1000's of gigs & never seen that before. Also, at the Mr Tweedy's managements insistence my staff & I spent the show stopping people using their camera phones to take pictures. As the audience was sat in pews this was near impossible to achieve without disturbing others. Now, I can fully understand prohibiting proper cameras being used (only Mr Tweedy's sons were allowed to take real photos). But phones? A little over the top. From the many positive comments I got from punters afterwards I know that many considered the venue & performance to be pretty special. I'm biased but The Union Chapel brings amazing performances from artists, Patti Smith a few months ago is another example. Please come along & see a gig with us. http://www.nodepression.com/profiles/blogs/jeff-tweedy-live-union-chapel On balance, I'm in favour. The couple of photos I often take usually turn out pretty crumby anyway, and that was more than compensated for by the lack of distration from everyone else doing it.Looks like everyone will have to wait for Spencer's photos

BeShakey
This is the policy: PHOTO AND TAPING POLICIES (NOTE CHANGES AS OF March 2010) Audio recording would be fine by me. I've seen Wilco three times, plus the three 7 worlds collide shows, and have only got one recording of them of any kind.
Analogman
There are a lot of shows that have yet to appear from this past year.
blureu
There are a lot of shows that have yet to appear from this past year. I was just thinking the same point a couple of days ago. Seems like more shows than recent years. How many were released from the recent acoustic tour? Didn't seem like many. Maybe the rumored falling out with Wilco tapers was true? Makes me wonder. Analogman
None so far. I don't know what the deal is with that story.
Albert Tatlock
A picture from the youthful official photographer, if you know what I mean.
BeShakey
Still no news on a recording of this? Also, I remembered having posted the setlist that he also played Jesus etc (which also wasn't on the setlist). Pretty sure it came after California Stars.
