u2roolz
Saturday, 5/28 at 9pm EST Musicians pay tribute and honor Neil Young as the 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year by covering some of his biggest hits. Features performances by Elton John, Elvis Costello, Crosby Stills and Nash, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Lady Antebellum, Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, Keith Urban, Josh Groban and more. *I'm assuming they will show Wilco. I haven't checked to see how long this broadcast will run.
tinnitus photography
if they wanted to honor Neil, couldn't they have come up w/ some worthwhile musicians to pay tribute? if i were Neil and saw that list, i'd make myself unavailable.

This actually was already recorded from January 2010 where Wilco did Broken Arrow.

u2roolz
have those artists gotten any better in the interim? no. I can see problems with people listed from Lady Antebellum to Josh Groban, but Elvis, Elton, CSN, James Taylor, Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow (sometimes) are pretty respectable to me. Who would you have had instead, if you had a time machine?
Preferred B
I'm pretty sure this came up back when the event actually happened. The majority of the performers have connections to Neil - they've opened for him, or played the Bridge School Benefit, or both.
