foolsgold1986
This thread is just to get wilco to make a boxset of their early albums. Show your support for the idea and comment.
Shakespeare In The Alley
But the early albums aren't out of print or hard to find.
anthony
I think a more interesting box set would include B-sides, demos, rarities, unreleased tracks, etc.
williamblanda
You can get a pretty swell B-sides, radio appearances, etc. collection off midnight cafe. http://www.themidnightcafe.org/?p=2048 Some really nice songs in there...
Ghost of Electricity
Someone mentioned on another thread that Wilco recorded 60 songs for TWL, which leaves several albums worth of material that I can't help but believe will see the light of day someday. It might be 20 years though. Kind of like Neil Young had a bunch of live albums recorded back in his heyday then sat on them for 30 years before releasing them. Incidentally, didn't they (Wilco) once as a musical exercise record an album (or more than one) of improvised music in real time? That would be interesting to hear. lost highway
Yeah, here is a glut of unreleased Wilco recordings out there. Every time they make a record I think it expands. Some day it could make a triple disc. They could put in the B-Sides we all know, and things that have never seen the light of day. I would buy that.
Guest McGuffin
I'm not huge on box sets because you only end up buying what you already have again. They could stand to put out a b-sides/unreleased stuff album/double album though.
Ghost of Electricity
or maybe from those 60 outtakes wilco will surprise us with another record in 6 months...wouldn't that be great!
