choo-choo-charlie
According to a [very fresh] TMZ report: http://www.tmz.com/2...d-heart-attack/. If it's true I'm sure there are more reports to come. Rest in peace, Dick. I'm glad I was exposed to American Bandstand as a youngster. Edit: Now ABC and the Chicago Tribune are reporting it as well. calvino
Watching the Bandstand with my older sisters was pretty fun. Gotta love the opening theme - yeah I said it.
The Inside of Outside
To think that he was on American Bandstand when my parents were 23 (1957), did that show on ABC until I was about the same age (1987), and did the New Year's Rockin' Eve until my own kids were approaching their teen years. Talk about spanning the generations... I was a fan of the $25,000 Pyramid when he hosted it. The guy was everywhere for a decade or two. Makes Ryan Seacrest look lazy. He has earned his rest. Moss
This cracks me up: Can't help thinking about the Lester Bangs "Screwing the system with Dick Clark". RIP
