Vaporized
Alambama label Cornelius Chapel Records, run by The Dexateens Elliot McPherson, just released a free 4 song Uncle Tupelo tribute EP. I'm not familiar with the bands, but they all do a great job doing fairly faithful renditions of some great UT tunes: 1. We've Been Had (Two Cow Garage)2. Wait Up (Empty Orchestra)3. Long Cut (Have Gun Will Travel)4. Shaky Ground (Drag The River) http://corneliuschapelrecords.com/artistreleases/uncle-tupelo-tribute/ Download link is about half way down under the album cover art. Enjoy!
Doug C
Thanks for the info. Two Cow garage, Drag the River and Have Gun Will Travel are all excellent bands. I've never heard of Empty Orchestra. I can hear in my head how Two Cow Garage must tear up We've Been Had. Looking forward to listening.
Hixter
I know 3 of those bands and they're great. Thanks for the info, I passed it on to 3 friends who are big fans.
BobDylan'sBeard
Ha, 3 of the 4 are Jeff songs.
LouieB
Two Cow has been channeling UT for their entire career. Good choice. LouieB
PopTodd
Ha, 3 of the 4 are Jeff songs.Which is strange, because I always thought of UT as more of a Jay band… like 60 Jay/40 Jeff.
LouieB
Yea at least, but I guess people relate to Jeff more these days. The site asks if we want a real EP. I would. LouieB
