bböp
I had to sit this one out, unfortunately, but no reports from Memphis? Various sources of mine have confirmed that Big Star's Jody Stephens came out and played with the band on both Box Full Of Letters and In The Street (with John taking lead vocals on the latter). And that The Waiting was once again played, hopefully without the first verse lyric mishap from Irving this time. Anyone care to chime in?

spankadelphia
Long time lurker, first time poster. Great show last night. Slight deviation from the printed set in the encore.I guess I'll do the bbop thing and try to give an overall assessment of the concert. I didn't catch Margaret Glaspy's set because I was stuffing my face with a BBQ shrimp po boy down the street. There was little to no drama as far as the sit vs. stand debate was concerned. Almost everyone in the orchestra rose to their feet when IATTBYH started and remained standing for the rest of the show. Some guy in one of the luxury boxes next to the stage started waving an American flag attached to a giant pole during the end of Impossible Germany and one of the ushers went upstairs and took it away from him . There was some lively banter, and I won't recap all of it since most of it is already on Youtube. When Jody came out, he was wearing the exact same outfit Glenn was wearing (blue jumpsuit w/identical patches) and Jeff said something to the effect of: "see, we cloned Glenn, we have 2 Glenn's now." He also made a remark about the font on the Exit signs in the venue and how neat it was. It's impossible to see the upper section of the Orpheum from where I was sitting, so I did not get a sense of how many people were in the upper sections. Maybe someone closer to the stage could give us an idea of overall attendance. This was my 9th Wilco show in the Memphis area, and I would put it in the top 3 for sure along with Orpheum 2009 and Mud Island 2012. Can't complain about the setlist at all, though I was looking forward to hearing the electric version of Spiders. Again, 28 songs: 6 from YHF, 5 from AGIB, and 4 from BT, so I can't complain.Cry All DayCompany in my BackI Am Trying to Break Your HeartArt of AlmostPickled GingerMisunderstoodSomeone to LoseAt Least That's What You SaidIf I Ever Was a ChildWar on WarVia ChicagoBull Black NovaReservationsImpossible GermanyCalifornia StarsForget the FlowersTheologiansHeavy Metal DrummerI'm the Man Who Loves YouHummingbirdThe Late Greats (notably, Jeff played an electric guitar for this last night)Encore 1:Random Name GeneratorJesus Etc.Box Full of Letters w/JodyIn the Street w/JodyEncore 2:The WaitingMondayOutta Site (Outta Mind)

TCP
John taking lead vocals on In the Street again? Wish I was there!
Boss_Tweedy
It was a great show in a gorgeous venue. I've never done it before, but I recorded "In the Street" because I recognized Jody before they introduced him and knew what was coming. The only complaint I have about last night is that, as is usually the case for Wilco shows I attend, the poster was lame. But if that's your biggest complaint then you know you've had a pretty great evening.
mus2009
Ha that poster was pretty bad, but the show was great! The crowd was rather sparse at first, but the orchestra filled up nicely and everyone remained on their feet throughout the show. No Spiders, and I'm not a huge fan of the mellowed-out Misunderstood, but glad to see Via Chicago & Company in my Back. Glad Jody got to hang with the guys (again), and I'd say this is one of the best shows the current lineup has played in Memphis. Just a damn solid show ETA: Margaret Glaspy is a good guitar player and has some interesting, unique vocals.
