bböp
Well, a Wilco Wednesday in Winnipeg certainly proved to be a worthwhile way to spend an evening — especially when the Canadian audience finally woke up (and wisened up, IMHO) near the end of the main set by getting on its feet, which occurred when a woman's whine to Jeff actually worked. More on that to come, though I don't want to steal too much thunder from our resident VC Winnipegian(?), who should certainly feel free to chime in with his insights. For now, here was the complete setlist as played (there were no changes from the printed list): Bright LeavesBefore UsCompany In My BackCan't Stand ItOne and a Half StarsHandshake DrugsWar On WarHummingbirdVia ChicagoHow To Fight LonelinessLaminated Cat (aka Not For The Season)Random Name GeneratorReservationsImpossible GermanyLove Is Everywhere (Beware)Box Full Of LettersPassenger SideEveryone HidesTheologiansI'm The Man Who Loves YouHold Me AnywayThe Late Greats---------------------------------California StarsRed-Eyed and Blue>I Got You (At The End of the Century)>Outtasite (Outta Mind)
Mr. Lynch
Really enjoyed the show! The new songs sounded great. Loved the Being There encore as well. Thanks for posting the set list!
TCP
What a show! I was a little nervous for Wilco experts like bbop and theashtraysays coming all the way to Winnipeg (in a less than desirable time of year) for a seated show. In my experience cities that don't get played every album cycle end up with more tepid audiences which I think was at least partly true for this show until the lady in the third row got everyone to stand up. What a legend! Setlist was pretty good, nice to hear Can't Stand It and Passenger Side. There was rumours that someone, who knows who, put in a hundred+ requests for Casino Queen but alas, it was not in the cards.Banter wise Jeff was great tonight, the most animated I've seen him in awhile. I looked over bbop a few times and noticed he was taking notes (what a pro!) so I will await his report.
u2roolz
Anyone else notice that this is a Roadcase now? I came across it when I was looking at Jeff’s capo.
theashtraysays
Which reminds me…. There’s still an IOU from bbop for more info on this last Wilco show. Hmmmmm.

Yeah it came out this week: I had requested it via the Nugs releases but I suppose, as the most recent Wilco performance it made more sense as a Roadcase. The recording sounds great! That would seem a bit anticlimactic, but I do like the idea of having it included in my subscription.
