bböp
Did no one on here manage to make it to Champaign for this show? Only a couple more shows before I'm able to defy Chrissie Hynde and jump back on the regular attendee train, but if anyone cares to chime in about the vibe, etc., at the Virginia Theatre, I'd be interested to hear about it. Looks like the setlist was a mix of mostly Jeff solo standards and a couple of nice rarities... Anyway, as a matter of housekeeping, I'll start the thread here by crossposting the setlist posted by the fine folks over at Wilcoworld: Via Chicago (presumably with harmonica?) Impossible Germany I Am My Mother I Am Trying To Break Your Heart Venus Stopped The Train An Empty Corner New Madrid I Know What It's Like A Lifetime To Find Gwendolyn Everlasting Everything Either Way Jesus, etc. Dawned On Me Meant To Be Falling Apart (Right Now) Lou Reed Was My Babysitter Passenger Side You Are Not Alone Family Ghost I'm The Man Who Loves You 1
ctfshjohn
Venus. Said he wrote this one with jay just up the road from here . highlight for me. either way as well. we were front row, Jeff commented on how we were an exemplary crowd. was super quiet in there , like pin drop quiet. was a good liquer store cocaine story about him working there in bville, before empty corner. was in a good mood, talkative, tons of wisecracking and humor, everything very well played , seemed to be playing for keeps tonight . opener was good, better than expected. Via had a flub, other than that was flawless night . how many shows are you doing on this tour ?

I'll be back on the tour starting Tuesday in Jackson, WY, God willing, and on board for the rest of the shows after that. 16 hours ago, ctfshjohn said: after via chicago he said his beard was getting caught in harmonica and distracted him from the lyrics Ah, the old #BeardHair defense...
