True, but it's still incredible to have recorded four all-time classic albums over the course of two sessions.

The first four albums below were recorded during two sessions on two separate days in 1956:

Understatement. The fact that she uses Crowded House as a negative comparison (twice) immediately negates any credibility she might have otherwise had. -
Yeah, Miles definitely had such stretches. Two that come to mind: Cookin' With the Miles Davis Quintet Relaxin' With the Miles Davis Quintet Workin' With the Miles Davis Quintet Steamin' With the Miles Davis Quintet Miles Ahead and, if you leave out the live albums that were released in the middle of this run: Milestones Porgy and Bess Kind of Blue Sketches of Spain Someday My Prince Will Come

The Pistons have dialed it up far more than I thought they were even capable of. The postseason turns them into freaks. Still hoping the Bulls can steal a game, but "steal" is about their only option at this point. Damn.

I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with the Jeffster on this one. My parents are obsessed with Sacred Harp music -- they started a group in Kalamazoo, and they drive all over the freakin' country to participate in singings (they think nothing of driving to Alabama for the weekend). It has become the thing that their lives are centered around. And in my opinion, it's godawful. I mean, truly horrible, unlistenable crap. I loves me some vocal music -- I have sung in choirs most of my life, some of them very good -- but this stuff, ugh. Strident, grating, and annoying to be within earsho

He can eat that steak somewhere else, then. A restaurant owner has the right to refuse service to whomever he wants. I wouldn't serve O.J. a fucking Big Mac.

Steakhouse refuses to serve O.J. Simpson LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (AP) -- The owner of an upscale steakhouse said he asked O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant the night before the Kentucky Derby because he is sickened by the attention Simpson still attracts. "I didn't want to serve him because of my convictions of what he's done to those families," Jeff Ruby said in a telephone interview Tuesday. "The way he continues to torture the lives of those families ... with his behavior, attitude and conduct," he added. (Watch Ruby describe Simpson's dumbstruck lookVideo) Simpson, an NFL Hall of F

Yeah, that Big Star disc may well make my own list, despite that technicality. My roommate in college had the individual vinyl albums, so I always tend to think of them as separate. I'm not sure there's ever been a CD release of just one or the other, though.
