nevermind, figured it out.

I listen to SHN files with Win-amp.
I tried that too...it would load them but not rip them.
Does anyone want to blank trade for the Collected Tweedy + The original YHF demos?
-
I really wish Wilco would put out a boxed set or something.
I mean, consider the fact that there were like 15 extra songs from the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot session, and that we've only heard about 3 from every other album session. There's gotta be more.

Every time I turn around, I hear of a new Wilco single. I just found out there was a Muzzle of Bees single! is there any definitive list?
Commercial released singles:

I did that; step by step. It's like SHNs don't want to let me play them.
-
I can NOT get Shn files converted. No online guide I've read has helped me; i've tried using shn amp, tried using shortened programs etc.
I really want the Collected Jeff Tweedy and I'm getting upset.
-
after seeing this, it's no wonder the DVD got shelved. Didn't they have steady cams back in '05?
You think that Sam would've been given the budget to do a typical pro-shot setup, given I'm sure the big pockets at Nonsuch funded this:
Camera in the pit straight on
Camera in the pit to the left
camera in the pit to the right
camera stage left
camera stage right
camera in the way back.
Basically you need a camera focused on each individual member, plus some good group shots.
-
a few of the angles are kind of crappy; I'm sure Jeff wanted it to be perfect. It's not terrible, but it's far from the best pro-shot (far from the worst too).

Metallica is lame; but so are comic books.
I like comic books.
I like Metallica.
If I had any cred before, it's gone now.
-
it's a little overdone at this point, but I still adore it.
I wish more people would cover "Chelsea Hotel #2", though I doubt "Giving me head on an unmade bed" would make the cut on idol.

Lou is a wonderfully angry, bitter old man.

Brian: I don't know what a "hollaback girl" is, all I know is I want her dead.

I stand corrected....
With Beck I agree it is hazy. He has Western Harvest, Golden Feelings, One Foot, Stereopathetic and Mellow Gold all which came out before Odelay...But I get what you are saying!
Speaking of Insectiside...I like the Sliver alot!
Yes, Beck had like 90 indie albums he released in a 2 year period.
I love "Sliver", it's such an insanely catchy song.

Don't forget about the Velvet Underground's SQUEEZE -- technically it's their last album, much as everyone would love to forget that.

I had a few more songs, but they wouldn't fit.
Wilco is a bitch like that... they should be more mix cd friendly
-
no offense, but I don't like that at all...a best of Wilco with no tracks off my favorite wilco album is like...wow.

This set, I feel, gives a great taste of what each album is about, and what Wilco is about; it shows Wilco as alt country, brian wilson-esque pop, noise makers, and jam banders.

I had a dream this morning that Wilco came back to Milwaukee. They played at the same venue, just a shittier stage [the Rave]. At first it seemed like there was a full house, but for a reason unbeknownst to me, people started walking out. I looked back and saw only 3 rows of people left, and I knew that the band was gonna take it pretty hard. I looked at Jeff and could see on his face that he was having a terrible time...to the point of almost crying! A couple of seconds later they put down their stuff and walked off the stage without saying anything.
How sad is that?!
Maybe the red squirrel and his associates chopped up the crowd.
-
that's pretty funny
It was during a weird semester for me...I was living alone, and watched IATTBYH everyday...I can't watch that movie anymore...that dream, combined with actually meeting Jeff in 2005, made it weird.
It's kind of strange to sit around in your underwear all day and watch a man puke then drink a diet coke. I generally puke AFTER I drink diet coke.

You're forgetting about Bleach.
Bleach - Nevermind - Insecticide
and Incesticide isn't really an album. It's two sides of a single, two b-sides from an EP, two bbc sessions, and their first studio demo.

Ryan Adams is one of those "potential" artists.
He could've been a great.
Heartbreaker was a great album; even Gold was pretty cool.
But overall, I think he's a has been that only his hardcore contingent still cares about; outside of alt-country circles, he's a trivia question at this point.
Ryan Adams never was and never will be in Tweedy's league. fin.
