  1. when looking at the picture, hit the PrintScreen key on your keyboard(this is the only use i can think of for this key), this copies a bitmap of your screen to your clipboard. Paste it into your favorite image editing program and crop accodringly.
  2. In Memphis and Nashville he used is santa cruz a lot. For one of the songs in nashville, a differnent santa cruz was brought out, it looked blingy and was in the 000 style. Anyone know what the amp was sitting behind him? Looked pretty cool.
  3. It clips nicely between the nut and the tuning pins. Just a slight amount of down pressure and you're set.
  4. Some tapers typically invest hundreds or thousands of dollars in thier rigs, consisting of mics, preamps, and a recorder. http://www.solorb.com/dat-heads/ is an OK place to start, though a bit outdated. An Edirol or a Zoom H4 would probably get you in the game with the best bang for your buck. -scott
  5. The Brand of Capo matters. I've tried the clamp/spring style Kysers and Dunlops but have settled on the Planet Waves capo. Its pretty much a better designed shubb. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Pla...mp;src=3SOSWXXH
  6. What's in Marfa? Anyone have pics of this place and the concert hall.
  7. Its more or less a list of songs he will play (black dots), won't play (black lines), and could play (plain text). Heres the poster
  8. I posted this in the memphis show review over on after the show, but most probably didnt see it. Its a vid of Jeff doing Acuff Rose unamplified at GPAC Tuesday night. I think it turned out pretty well and was my first youtube post.. The original has a lot higher quality audio and video - if someone would tell me how to post a 200mb file for all to download, i'll put it somewhere so the VC crowd can get it uncompressed.
  9. --> QUOTE(Doctor B @ Jan 18 2007, 10:45 AM) I thought it was a great show. Firstime seeing Jeff solo. For those who were there, which song did Jeff say he would never sing again since he sang it at his mother's funeral? I could not here the original request. Thanks. That was Please Tell My Brother. Big Time Awkward moment. Great show. Sweet poster for it too.
  10. It was Loose Fur's you were wrong. The new songs were Patient with Me, the ruling class, and something called Sky Blue Sky and possibly abother new song that he said it will be on the new album and sounded very Being Thereish.
  11. A video of Acuff Rose from tonight.
  12. The show was awesome. Started with sunken treasure > patient with me > moutain bed after that (i think), played wait up too. Glenn was uber badass. Talked quite a bit about shit. Jeff told us that his kid pooped something that looked like a "baby's arm holding an apple." We even played a game involving feces. All told, a scattastic night. Said his wife would find out about all the shit talk on the internet (hi) and he would be chided(sorry). He finished off with Acuff Rose unamplified. In my quest to stay on the bleeding edge of the internet, ive put a movie up of if for a p
  13. wow. thats a lot. I only wish that he play "Wait Up" in Memphis or Nashville
  14. Agreed it is superb but the commissary is not a wet establishment.
  15. I guess so, though that seems a bit late to me. Maybe I'll call GPAC tommorrow.
  16. First, Germantown is the deep 'burbs, so theres not tons going on food wise. However, a couple of us are going to get some food and beer at Memphis Pizza Cafe before the show -- its about the closest place to the venue and pretty cool to boot. Its about a quarter mile from GPAC. Check out the map, the concert is on the tract of ground labeled municipal park. Map to Memphis Pizza Cafe Pizza Cafe is actually across the street from saddle creek shopping center, not in it. We'll probably get there at about 5:30-6:00 and stay till 7:30 Having grown up in germantown, i can say that the to

  19. For Nashville, Gruhn and Cotten are definitely places to hit up. Gruhn has about every imaginable guitar - though they have seem to have thing for Martins. I'm a big fan of Cotten, I live around the block from it and take lessons there weekly. The Guitar Center here has some decent vintage stuff -- probably more than you will find at anywhere but Gruhn and Cotten.
  20. Hey guys, Jeff played a new song in the end of October (10/27 and 10/30 solo shows), called Patient With Me. I typed out the lyrics as best i can, and i _think_ the tabs involve a capo on III, the tab sounds pretty simple, but even it is more than my meager skills can handle. Could someone help me tab this out? Patient With me I should
