Read this morning that Betty Boo is making a comeback with Alex James from Blur in a band called Wigwam - who have a single out this or next week. Now I don't know about anyone else but her picture adorned many a dog-eared copy of Smash Hits (R.I.P) round my bedroom. Apparently, she's still only 36. Wonder if she's still got it?

Caught a band from Oz called The Grates supporting the Go! team on Friday and their lead singer Patience was a bit of a fitbox. Tunes weren't bad either, kinda like The Yeah Yeah Yeah's-lite crossed with The Concretes. This pic doesn't do her much justice as she was looking a lot better than this:

Caught a pic of this lovely young thing in the new copy of Empire, and nearly fell off my seat. She's called January Jones - sounds like a blaxploitation film star - and apparently is a relation of Tommy Lee Jones.

er.... I didn't mean when she was that young...just when she was on TV at a time when adults would watch ie. post 10 am. I think I've back-pedalled out of that one quite well

If we were holding awards for most improved bit of celebrity action, I think she would win. When she first appeared on our screens she didn't look thebest, didn't help that it looked like Steview Wonder had applied her make-up.

Well, yes, that's very wrong. Actually whilst watching the shambolic Comedy Awards, I nearly transgressed a similar line and started to develop a bit of a crush on the Scottish woman from Extras, Ashley Jensen. Mark? That is just wrong!

I too am still reading this. Nearly finished it now, I'm upto the bit where he's just finished Hudsucker Proxy and about to start some tv show called The Adventures of Brisco County or something. Got his other book on Christmas list so no doubt that will be arriving soon. He strikes me as a really genuine, down-to-earth, hardworking guy who never loses the sight of who he is. Next up for me after Bruce is:
