let it go man.
Kidding. I'm not even a Cubs fan ... was a big Sox fan back in the "Winnin' Ugly" days though.
-
Just because their last World Series was "Far Far Away," they end up "Misunderstood." The current Cubs "Shouldn't Be Ashamed." Thankfully Lou told them to "Shake It Off." He's been a real "Shot in the Arm." But maybe that's just "Wishful Thinking." If they're "Less Than You think" you only end up "Red-eyed and Blue."
"I Must Be High."
"I dreamed about killing Bartman again last night and it felt alright to me ..." - Via Wrigley.

Just happened to think ... "Let's Not Get Carried Away" may be an appropriate song choice for Cub fans. Sure, the Cubbies are in first place, but let's not get carried away. They can find a way to blow it.
How about "The Thanks I Get" ...
-
Thanks for doing that ... I'll be making some copies to hand out to some friends.
-
Okay, when is someone gonna re-post this?
I missed the first half and must ... have ... it.

Wilco is literally burning up my laptop. It's never been this warm.
You ARE talking about a computer, right?
-
Can't wait to show my kids what a Wilco live show is like ...
(I told 'em I'd take 'em to a show when they were 10.)
-
This whole show is BEDAZZLING!!!!!
-
Here's a request for some Wilco/Cubbie fan to TiVo this and get us a Hi Def video clip of the festivities at Wrigley!
Wish I could be there and drink some Honker's Ale with y'all!

Heard "Watch Me Fall" (does UT count?) at Chipotle in Stillwater, Okla. last week ...
-
He said spiders in the trapdoor genus, who tend to live in burrows and build trap doors to seal off their living quarters, are distinguished from one species to the next on the basis of differences in genitalia.
How does he know what Neil Young's genitalia look like?
-
Thanks to some persistence (and insider contacts) by yours truly, a brief clip of "Walken" is now in the rotation to be played at Okla. State home baseball games when one of our players gets a base on balls ...
-
This one ... featuring several VCers, and parts of VCers ...
Hey, it's "infamous" to some of us anyway!
-
Tweedy took my camera at the Wichita show and acted like it was confiscated ... I nearly shat until I realized he was kidding. Then he took the infamous crowd pic and all was right with the world.

I am seeing British Sea Power at the Triple Rock Social Club this weekend and I am wondering if I would be able to take a camera in to take photo's during their set.
Are most smaller venues fairly nonchalant about this, or what are the average policies? I looked on the website of the club and could not find any info. The only camera I have is a fairly expensive one so I don't want to lose it. I was thinking I could buy one of those disposable ones too, to take into the venue.
Let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks, folks.
During the show, turn off your flash if you can. The stage lights should be sufficient, and it can be distracting/annoying. Good luck!

i believe recently fan club tickets have always gotten you in early. At least they did at the Dallas gig back in September.
ARRRGHGHHGGHRRGGHHRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Just checked my stub ... it says "FAN CLUB" in tiny little letters on the corner.
I coulda been on the front row ...
Oh, well. At least I was pretty close ... (SIGH)
Next time I'll know better.

I envy Richie Wireman and Charles Harris. They are very talented. Very sweet pics, indeed!
I also envy all you Residency attendees. Must have been great.
Of course, for a singular show, I don't know how they could've topped Tulsa last weekend. (But then again, I'm biased to our local shows in Woody Guthrie's home state).
-
Hey, I also just figured out how to post individual pics on here from the dot-mac gallery!
Here's a couple of my faves ...
And one for Donna ...

You take very good pictures, Clay. All mine turn into big blurs.
Here's the secret: Take a ton of pics. Only show people the ones that look decent. Act like they ALL turn out that way.
Speaking of blurs, this one is totally out of focus, but turned out rather serendipitous ... it's one of my favorites.
-
Donna, as I was going through the pics, I had a hunch you'd particularly like the plethora of sweaty Glenn shots ...
-
Awesome! Thanks as always.
You're not a bad guy ... for a Sooner!
Seriously, if it takes a great band like Wilco to bridge the Bedlam gap, so be it. Here's to unity in music!
Hey, if you have any more clips or photos of the crowd, I'd love to see 'em ... my buddy right behind me got some face time in your Late Greats vid, but I was blocked by some other fans. Just thought it'd be cool to show my kids where dad was during the show.
-
The band should hire you. Think what you could do if you had all area access instead of having to work with a bunch of fans surrounding you at the foot of the stag. Well done and great detail!
A bunch of fans surrounding me at the foot of the stage is EXACTLY WHERE I WANT TO BE ...
I'm afraid if I became a "journalist" in the photo pit I'd lose much of my fan experience ... The reward for me is standing in line to get up front and being part of the crowd. I took a ton of pics Saturday, but for much of the night I put my camera away and just enjoyed the moment.
(Thanks for the kind words, though. I'll work on some special album art for you.)
