  1. Thanks. I was really referring to currently. He's spending money on anti-Romney ads and pro big bird ads. Ha! I mean either way, I think people will go into the voting booth wondering if we have been going in the right direction for the last 4 years or is it time for a different path. I think people will be voting with different objectives and ideas than 4 years ago. The last campaign does matter. There was a lot of love and feeling of change in the air and I think we should remember that and ask where that's all gone.
  2. Wher is his ad telling us why we should vote him in again? It all seems to be focused on how bad Romney is. (it's like Obama is telling me to vote for him because he's not Romney) oh the irony. http://www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderickgregory/2012/09/04/world-economists-confirm-americas-decline-under-obama/
  3. Where is Obamas ad pointing out what you two have mentioned...? Where is Obamas ad pointing to all the good things he's done and why he deserves 4 more years? I'm sure there have been some but I would think we'd see more this close to the finish line.
  4. So out of the debate, the best that Obama can do is "capitalize" on the Big Bird comment? It's kinda sad if you ask me. Is this what his campaign really wants to focus on with 4 weeks going into the election? I was telling somebody today, there is a stark difference from the Obama campaign 4years ago. I'm pretty sure he had it all but wrapped up against McCain by this time....
  5. fixed it AND yes I guess you're attempting to be cute. good not necessarily. says who? The blogger you cited earlier? The people afraid of being tested? no not really the same thing......at all. maybe my intuition says yes. we? Hahaha
  6. I gave some examples of why I think it makes good sense. It's not that hard to understand. Do YOU get tested for drugs by your employer? Why would anyone giving money to someone NOT want to make sure that person is doing everything they can to produce and/or be constructive....to make good decisions? Hell man, if a person is on welfare AND doing drugs isn't there a chance that person wouldn't try and find a damn job?! Especially if that job requires a drug test!? (I tried to present my point of "good sense" in other words) A moral stance? No. If you are receiving housing, food or unemployment
  7. The whole, "control what people do with their body" thing is weak if you ask me. There are certain consequences with every action and if you're receiving welfare but screwing off your time and money doing dope instead of something that might be constructive, possibly aiding in you getting employment, then I think the government should be able to know and do something about it. Also, hypothetically couldn't someone receiving welfare refuse to take a job knowing they couldn't pass the drug test? Hey, if you want to do every drug under the sun then I think it's your business BUT once those drug
  8. I think it makes good sense. I mean people have to take a drug test to get a lot of jobs.
  9. Is there any law that makes it a requirement to take a drug test before receiving government "help"?
  10. ................... What's that song on YHF?......... Pot Kevin...er.....I mean Kettle Black? One of my favorites!
  11. After everything that went down last night I heard an excerpt of Obama at a rally saying Elmo should watch out because Romneys getting rid of PBS..... Someone made mention of Obama being tired because he's been President and campaigning but I think we can all agree for a number of months he's been more focused on the campaign than anything else. (it seems like to me)
  12. Hahaha yes! Can you have a telepromp at a debate? (tongue/cheek)
  13. Romney seemed to understand some specifics that Obama did not dismiss. Such as Dodd-Frank, I thought his argument concerning this showed some insight I had not heard before. Can anyone dispute or confirm what Romney said?
  14. I noticed Obama would frown and shake his head when he did not agree with something Romney had to say. I've always been taught that's not a good thing when debating. I have never seen Romney like he was tonight. Acted like a seasoned debater. I would put a paycheck on Obama coming out completely different at the next debate.
  15. That's funny. Thanks I found it humorous to see the words associated with each guy.
  16. Like Fannie and Freddie? I believe the Obama administration rejected the pipeline in their report to congress citing a lack of "long term jobs" and true oil potential. Are those studies you mentioned underway or at the very least given a date? I'm not disputing Obamas concerns you mentioned I just don't recall them being the "main" reasons. As a side note, I would have appreciated that same careful consideration when putting together his health care overhaul.
  17. First of all let me just say I would never let anything stick in my maw. Hahaha but seriously, no not really. Who would you admit Obama is in bed with?
  18. I love getting my news/info from the associated press.
  19. I like Romney for supporting the keystone pipeline.
  20. Oh I'm sorry.... YOU said if we don't want to read it then just skip it? Really? OK Well thank you sir. KevinG, has someone been mean to you and bullied you around? Have you been told what to do in your life so much that you feel like a big man getting on this board and telling other people just what to do? Hahaha I like Romney because he's not Obama. I hate it when smug comments expect some sort of positive change. Oh, and you can skip this if you'd like.
  21. Man, no offense but this thread has been quite boring the last 3 or 4 days.
